Asher Palmers killer sentenced

Didn't hear of it. Thank you for letting us know! finally, justice is made, and the widow could have some inner peace, as well.

May the little sister grow up to know how wonderful were her brother and father, and be a true pride to the family!

Israeli law should be amended to include a provision against
terrorists and MOST importantly against "repetitive" terrorists.

Should samer re-offend----he must be executed to avoid
HUNGERKUNSTLER circus act

If death penalty is to be "expanded" to other cases, I believe those cases will be ones of internal problems, not national ones.

I remember, the case of Rose Pizem pushed many in Israel to call for death penalty. I believe that before considering death penalty for terrorists, we should consider applying them on horrible cases like the Rose Pizem issue.

ANOTHER unlawful trial and unlawful conviction and unlawful detention of a Palestinian by an Apartheud Israeli Miltary Court. There must have been millions of these by now!

How do you know this is an "unlawful trial" and "unlawful conviction" and "unlawful detention"?

Thought you were a justice seeker?

Does Jonathan Palmer not deserve justice

Because Israels Military Court system for Palestinians not respect the requirements of intl law. THERE have been many reports by NGOs and human rights groups addressing the shortomings. NONE of these proceedings have any legitimacy whatsoever.

Yesh Din Report on the Defects of the Military Courts in the Occupied Palestinian Territory

In January 2008, the Israeli human rights organisation, Yesh Din, published a comprehensive report on the implementation of due process rights in military courts in the occupied Palestinian territory.Thousands of Palestinians, suspected of security-related and other criminal offenses, are tried before Israeli military courts in the occupied territory every year. The courts have existed for forty years but, according to Yesh Din, continue to operate*in complete darkness - and without external scrutiny comes arbitrariness.Yesh Din's report examines the implementation of Palestinians' due process rights in the courts, and concludes that there are some severe shortcomings and failures. Defects are noted relating to the implementation of most of the fundamental due process rights prescribed by international law, such as the principle of presumption of innocence, the right to be notified of the charges brought against you, the right to effectively defend one self and*the right to be tried without undue delay. The military court system serves as the "cornerstone" of the Israeli occupation rule. http://www.diakonia.se/sa/node.asp?node=2220
