Austin attack

Yep, what we need is more guns on the street. Yessirreeeeeee Bob. And when there are more shooting, the obvious answer is more guns out on the street. So damned logical. Yessirreeeeeeeee Bob!
Less firearms = more crime

Oh jeez.

You don't think people with guns kill people much more effectively with guns than without?

no they actually don't and the data bears that out

have zero tolerance for violence...you use a gun to commit a crime, even if it wasnt discharged, you get 25 years in prison and you serve every fucking minute of it,no time off for good behavier...if the gun is discharged another 5 years added, and then depending on how much damage that gun did in the course of committing that crime, more time added and you serve every minute.....if someone dies as a result of the crime using that gun,you get at least life with no chance of parole.... owning guns is fine, but with that ownership comes great responsibility, you use it to commit a crime, you accept the consequences...
So you think gun crime should entitle people to free room and board then ??

Well it was Tombstone Arizona that started the left wing gun control craze.

The State Of Arizona has since repudiated radical gun control completely.

Everyone else should learn a lesson from this too.

Gun control is silly and foolishness.

You cannot control criminals.

Yep, guns making the US safer and safer....
Agreed.

According to the link, the police revoked the "active shooter incident". There were two incidents. No doubt the anti-gun LW loonies will push the panic button and try to use this as an excuse to register then confiscate guns enact "common sense gun legislation". You know, just like Australia did.

"One person was fatally shot and four others were shot and injured in Austin, Texas, early this morning, following two separate, unrelated incidents that put the city on edge, police said.

Initially police described the shootings as an "active shooter incident," but later Sunday morning, that description was revoked."

Lunatics and thugs make the US dangerous. If it isn't an Islamist, it's likely an illegal or gang banger thug.

Yeah, but somehow you think the US has more lunatics and thugs than any other first world country? And if there are more, why have dangerous weapons and make it easy for this lunatics and thugs to get a hold of?
The ourpse of gun ownership is not to make it easy for thugs, it's to make it easy to Defend ourselves. A thug will kill with a knife.or his bare hands. A gun is the great equalizer.

Is the killer still at large?
Yes, but they have a "person of interest": Endicott McCray

Downtown Austin shooting: Police name 'person of interest' | www.statesman.com
5:00 p.m. update: Relatives have identified the woman who was fatally shot early Sunday on Sixth Street as 30-year-old Teqnika Moultrie.

Austin police have not confirmed her identity or of the four other women who were injured after a man opened fire at a crowd on Sixth and Brazos streets just after 2 a.m. The shooter is still at large.

Ricky Moultrie of Las Vegas, Teqnika Moultrie’s brother, told the American-Statesman her sister lived in the Bay Area and had traveled to Austin to visit her fiancée’s family. According to the siblings’ grandparents, Teqnika Moultrie had spent Saturday rafting and went out that night to see the city. She was with her fiancée downtown when she was shot, Ricky Moultrie said.

Teqnika Moultrie was a tomboy growing up and an avid athlete, according to her brother. She worked as a school bus driver and loved kids.

“She loved life, period,” Ricky Moultrie said. “After our mother passed away, she filled those footsteps. She was the glue to our family.”

Ricky Moultrie said he did not know anything about Endicott McCray, the person of interest police are searching for in connection to the shooting.

Police say Endicott McCray is a person of interest in the downtown shooting early Sunday.

“They just wouldn’t be around that type of crowd, people that would commit a murder,” Ricky Moultrie said.

The most efficient way to kill people is to slice their throats in their sleep.

A wannabe mass murderer that knew how to pick locks and sharpen knives could literally kill hundreds of people before being stopped.

It amazes me it has happened yet.

there was a movie like that some time ago

Mr Brooks i think was

The Ghurkas used to do this with the Italians in North Africa in WW2. They would slip in at night, take out the one sentry (usually asleep) and then quietly creep from soldier to soldier killing them with one slice of their legendary blades. The Italians would often flee as soon as they became aware that they were opposite a Ghurka unit.
