The reports say he's putting up a fight, pointing out what he perceives to be his strengths. Well, it doesn't look like the electorate agrees, whether he's right or not. He can't change his two biggest weaknesses -- he seems terribly frail, and he's blamed by many for inflation.

And the reports keep going back and forth. One says he and his family are working on the exit plan, the next says he's in for the long run.
