Bank of America’s minimum wage will be up to $25 an hour, the bank announced Tuesday, by 2025

Good on them (and their workers).

I'm all for a really generous minimum wage for everyone regardless of their skill set or status.

I just don't think businesses should be compelled in law to do it by jumped up Democrats/members of the left as part of some ill-thought out socialist utopia. That's the difference.

Why couldn't they just do it today, why wait 4 years?

Won't make a difference either way in my area. They closed up all their branches and moved away a few years ago. I guess they have a lot more faith in digital banking than I do.

See the bold.

It's a way of telling the world just how much inflation is going to happen and in what amount of time. Or.. At the very least what they are trying to tell the rest of the world, read here convince, what the plan is.

What's their minimum wage now?

Edit: 20 dollars an hour in 2020... So... We can expect an absolute minimum inflation rate of 25% in the next five years. I'd bet it's closer to 35%. But...

they are laying a bunch off first------------
Which may only mean more work for those who remain unless the places decide to change their hours so that those who remain do not garner extra money due to having to work more hours.

God bless you and them always!!!

Holly

P.S. My local BoJangle's restaurant recently changed their hours and so now they only stay open until 3PM.
