Beck draws over 80,000. "I have a dream" draws 20,000

Yes it did

Something called "Free-dom"

So in concept both events are supporting the same thing
See we are not as different as one would think
On one hand the left feels the minority needs "special" freedoms as they are "special victims"
Us on the right feel we all deserve the same freedoms
Try and listen to what MLK actually said for a change
the message is timeless. What the liberal does with it today is nothing more than a scam for more votes and in little way reflects the real message about equal rights

I guess if you apply extreme logic you are correct

MLK whined about special freedoms and being special victims. Trivial shit like church bombings, lynchings. Being denied the vote, equal access to the justice system. Blacks are so petty that way

Meanwhile, Glenn Beck brings up important stuff like....Obama is making us buy healthcare and Even though taxes are some of the lowest in history, we don't want to pay them

And how he held the Declaration of Independence in his own hands.

Church bombings are not color specific
denied to vote?
Lynchings are not color specific
Justice?

Look much of what happened after slavery ended was by choice
People in the south choose not to eat with Blacks, etc...
wrong? yes
When did African Americans get the right to vote?: Information from Answers.com

at the end of the day some of those changes were needed
but being murdered is color blind
being hung for reasons of hate
same
Look at the number of ebents recently of black on white hate crimes

Please.....you are not really that stupid
I know you can't be

Church bombings were not color specific?
Lynchings were just random and had no bearing on color?
Blacks received equal treatment in our justice system and were not subjected to voter supression?

Choice?

If people walk into a restaurant, see blacks eating there and walk out...that is their choice
But when they demand that all blacks be barred from eating in areas where whites eat....that is not choice

Anyone who wrote what JRK did just there has to be...that stupid.

Yeesh.

People in the south "choosing" not to eat with Blacks:

sitin.jpg

What happened to one woman when she made a choice to sit in the front of a bus.

Rosa-Parks-Dickson1dec05_zps6febd1ad.jpg

I do not recall supporting any of this
My point is that it goes both ways
you should be just upset about events that took place 50 years ago as the events that are being ignored today

In addition I was rasied in the south
Where I was rasied we went to school with Blacks long before it was a mandate
Now with that said i never understood why it was any-ones business as to who was served in a business that was privately owned
Does not mean I have to support it
But taking there rightt away to whom it is they serve is no different than taking ones right away to many othere items that is not the govt. business

Prior to 1965

How many southern businesses "chose" to allow blacks and whites to eat together?
How many hotels "chose" to admit blacks?
How many "chose" to allow blacks and whites to use the same restrooms?
How many "chose" to allow blacks to use their swimming pools?
How many movie theaters "chose" to allow patrons to sit where they want?

Again
that being Morally right or Morally wrong is one debate
Forcing an oenwr of a private business to allow that to happen is another
A public bus is a no brainer
any tax supported item is a no brainer
A private establishment is another

That goes all different ways in my opinion
not just white vs black
I think any person of any color should have the right to pick and choose who it is he/she allows in there home or place of business or there lives for that matter as long as it is private

Who enforced segregation and Jim Crow?

Are you saying that millions of southern business owners independently made that choice?

No
they should have been allowed that choice
The govt has no place in supporting any form of racisim @ any time
Jim Crow was wrong, even though it was the will of the people much of that time
It was wrong in a public tax supported domain
It is a different item in my opinion in the private sector (I would not support thast entity)

Laws should have been changed
They where
It is our past
Both North and south
Not just the south
Boston busing crisis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the public sector there is no place for ANY and ALL prejudice
If joe is green and does not want Bill in his life because he is blue in the private sector
That in my opinion is his choice

Leave it to the right wingers to have uneducated junkies like rush and beck as their major sources of information.

That is funny you see any of this that way when
Google
Google
Google
Google

You will have trouble doing the same for those you just mentioned
As far as being eduacated. It takes little education to know right from wrong
The thread was not about anything that required a lie
it is a simple fact
name calling is the only thing Liberals have to go to when cornered. i would be evry ashamed
