They also employ just 30% women on the crew of the new uber-lefty series "The Acolyte".

I guess when it comes to the $$$$$$$, "equality" doesn't pay the bills. LOL

Disney’s ‘The Acolyte’ Isn’t As Woke As Advertised As the Women Make Far Less Than Men on Set

According to the filings, in early April last year, when production of the streaming series was still in full swing, just 30% of the 695 employees were female and across the entire workforce, women's average hourly pay was 19.4% lower than men’s.

Why do they make less? Credentials? Hours worked? or other scenarios on why the "women get paid .$70/cents on the dollar" to males? Which isn't true.

That's psuedo "Woke" business... The facade that Disney has put up is no different than the curtain they used in the Wizard of Oz.
You have to look behind the curtain...
"But that's a horse of a different color"....

Why wouldn't they?

They also let men beat them in sports.

Then they claim women can't even be defined and don't really exist.

The Left has exterminated women altogether.

Are female actors being paid less? If so then isn't because those people aren't as big of a draw because they aren't popular?

I mean in marvel movies Robert Downey Jr got paid more than even other men because he was well known and very popular. People wanted to see him so they paid him more to keep him there to draw in viewers.

If you aren't popular as an actor you're going to be paid less regardless of your sex.

Maybe the women are doing more of the lower paid jobs?

Plus, since the field is historically male dominated, doesn’t it stand to reason that most of the workers with journeyman level experience are men? Of course workers with decades of experience are gonna make more than the relative new-comers

There’s always more than one explanation for these sort of supposed discrepancies….

What jobs are they are doing.

And this thread exposes the heart of the issue. When the left wants to complain about inequality, they happily trot out the old, "Woman make less than men" trope, ignoring things like the different types of jobs men and women do, the number of hours worked, time taken for family rearing, etc. Now, when that standard is applied to uber-lefty Disney, all of a sudden, the usual suspects discover that, hey, it makes a difference that men and women do different jobs, it makes a difference when men attract more revenue than women, thus making them more valuable, and on it goes.

Finally, we can put the whole, pay inequality thing to rest. After all, if businesses really could get away with paying women 25% less than men, they'd only hire women and cut their labor costs.

I think your complaint then would lie with Forbes, who published the original Disney filings. See, this is how the issue is dishonestly framed. The complainers go about claiming that women are paid less without revealing any reasons why, even though there are valid reasons for it being done. This thread has done an excellent job of revealing that even the left knows and understands that there are valid reasons why women get paid less on aggregate then men do, so we should see that old canard safely put out to pasture.

The debate is that women are paid less. That is a fact. This article, as you say, does nothing to shed light on that.
