Bernie Sanders and Franken Grills DeVos

There is video of Bernie Sanders flat out grilling DeVos asking her if she thinks she got her nomination due to the fact she and her family have donated over $200 MILLION dollars to Republican campaigns... and the Al Franken catches DeVos not understanding a basic argument in the world of education, the difference between testing for growth or proficiency.

I heard her explain to Bernie that nothing is really free, someone needs to pay for it. Most of us get that by the time we are 10. Franken probably still doesn't get it.

Bernie never understood that....if he wasn't in the Senate he would still be living with his parents......he traded 2 parents for the government tit.......

From the pretend socialist who just bought a $600,000 lake front home with a garage to house his sportscar, with the money he got to suck up to Hitlery....

What's $600,000 to a person that makes $200,000 a year in salary, gets retirement from being a mayor and his wife is a retired administrator... and is 70 and has been working his entire life? Sorry, that's a totally fail argument.

Democrsts embarrassed themselves....it was so sad...

All of Trump's picks will be approved. That's just fact. The rest of this stuff is just a cheap Dog & Pony Show. Some get entertained by it, but it really is meaningless.

As soon as you take a position on anything other than "neener neener" let me know. You don't seem to support or object to anything.
No you can make points and then van them.up on your side only.

You don't need experience in govt t of the run it, you just need to be competent, which these people are.

Competent at what exactly? Knowledge of the departments they plan to run or competent in other areas like food prep or fashion?

Competent in executive management.
Sure political hacks know the details, but they usually are losers who couldn't make it.in the private sector where you are held accountable.
Good leaders know how to plan, motivate and delegate to get things done.

I'll trust Ben Carson more than some guy that has been in office for 30.years on some sub committe.

If that was true, you would ask how she was so I'll prepared to answer questions if she's so smart. It seems like you'll take any show of competence and claim that it applies to any and all positions.

That's funny...but really sad.

No, I'm saying those positions are about leadership and and big ideas......they have employees to work on the details......I'm a business analyst....we define requirements and then have the developers code the project. I don't need to be an expert in Java or C++ to do my job

She would define requirements (with Trump) and have the employees code it

Well if competency and leadership was qualifiers to getting any job the Java guys can have your job then. Or maybe it's more than just being "competent"...maybe it's about knowing the position and what the job entails. Right?

But for some odd reason the C++ guys can't have your job...why? Suddenly they need more than general competence? Your competent at your job but I'm sorry...I wouldn't let you fly my plane and when someone asks what's your qualification I say "competence as a business analyst" rofl

Well flying the plane has inherent danger and specific qualifications. Running the education Dept isn't the same as posting an airplane

You're right... large air planes have auto-pilot, the Department of Education doesn't... she's fucked on her own.

Good thing she's gonna have a staff and she smart.

What kind of qualifications are you looking for?

Well for one, a person that knows the difference between testing for growth verses testing for proficiency...

Have you seen her confirmation hearing? She was fucking lost... like a deer in headlights. She said she shouldn't have been listed on her mother's foundation's tax forms, it was a clerical error... that she didn't make any decisions. She was the VICE PRESIDENT on the board.

Why whenever someone isn't qualified do these guys say "yeah but hey, the staff will stop them from being really crazy"

It's like allowing a fire juggler in your house and saying "don't worry, we have a fire extinguisher" lmao

What are you talking about? It's BEEN on autopilot. That's the whole problem.

So a bunch of senators unqualified for their jobs are standing on a soap box telling someone they are unqualified for their job. Despite extensive qualification

Good thing. The company wouldn't last a quarter. And what was that accountability you were talking about? I've worked at companies that were destroyed by a few incompetent managers who just went elsewhere when the shit hit the fan.

Yep so leadership and.managing are important, thank you for backing.me.up....knowing a product or subject is the easy part......knowing how to win and be successful is what separates billionaires from average joes.

In my experience, managers can destroy companies but I've yet to see one save them.

As they just said, being successful at one thing doesn't mean you will be successful at all things.
