Biden says he hopes his legacy 'is that I restored the soul of this country'

There've been at least two or three Presidents in my lifetime, worse than Carter.

For all his deficiencies, Carter, at least was an honest man, with good intentions, but a weak man with a head filled with very bad ideas.

That was my initial impression of Obama, until it became clear just how malevolent and corrupt he truly was.

And do I even need to mention Bill Clinton?
I agree with you about Carter - he was basically a good man but incapable of the presidency.

Obama was a smart man with horribly misplaced priorities, sided with the wrong people, and had a basic disdain for what our country stands for. Not a good look for a president.

I’d put Clinton in a different camp. He had some good policies, and was able to pivot at the mid-term when Americans told him they didn’t want the liberal agenda. (Something Obama didn’t do.). But he definitely was the worst in terms of morality - a repeat rapist, and a complete sleaze (probably with a sex addiction).

Really? Can you name one original Clinton policy that wasn't complete shit? Just one?

He saw the biggest shift in Congress, early in his term, because his policies were shit, and supporting them proved nearly fatal for the Democraps who had dominated Congress for forty years at that point.

He only changed his own positions because he cared more about staying in power, and staying relevant, than he cared about any principles.

And then he took credit for the results of Republican policies that he would have opposed, if he cared nearly as much about any of his principles than he cared about staying in power.

The only real difference between Obama and Clinton is that Obama stood on the principles he actually believed in. They were almost exactly the same shit principles that Clinton believed in, but discarded when they threatened to destroy his Presidency.

I don’t think you can put Clinton in the same camp as the incompetent Carter and the America-hating Obama.

And of course Clinton was for shit during his first term, like all liberals. The difference is, and he gets credit for this, is that when Americans told him - LOUDLY - at the mid-terms that they didn’t want any more of his liberal shit, he did moderate. Obama just doubled down when he got a shellacking, in defiance of what Americans said they wanted.

As an aside, that shows the difference between elected Dems of 25 years ago, and today. Decades ago, they were able to recognize when Americans told them they didn’t want the leftist shit, and today….in defiance….they double down.

To your challenge to name just ONE thing Clinton did positively is welfare reform. Obama swept in and reversed it of course, but before the Obama Socialist worked to get as many people in the government dole, Clinton did put limits on welfare and got more people to work, rather than collect welfare.

Like everything else for which anyone ever gives Clinton credit, that was a Republican proposal, that he almost certainly would have opposed if he didn't care more about hanging on to what power and relevance he could, than about any positions in which he truly believed.

Once he lost the Democrapic majorities in Congress, he was basically Congress' bitch.

Yes, it was a Republican proposal, but surely you can see the distinction between the liberal of yesteryear and the leftists now occupying Congress and the WH.

Clinton was able to reverse course in his 2nd term. He heard what Americans told him - cut the leftist shit - and went along with that.

Compare to today. After a blue state [VA) said NO to all the leftist crap, particularly at the school level, and elected a Republican Governor, and after New Jersey (NJ!!) almost sent their Dem Governor packing, did the Dems show some understanding that they had gone too far? NOPE. Pelosi said the Republicans came out ahead because the Dems didn’t push their liberal shit far enough.

I fully expect the mid-terms to be a sweep in Congress, and for the Democrats - with full disdain for the American voter - to effective,y say that voters are too dumb to know what is good for them, and double down on their America-destroying ways.

The only thing that potato has restored is conservatives determination to take control of the govt.

Thanks Joe!!!!
