The only condition they complied with the reciprocal truce where we didn't soot at them and they didn't shoot at us or our NATO allies as we left.

Oh, I never denied Biden fucked up. His mistake was not withdrawing the troops by 5/1/2021. But it's absurd to say we should have removed or destroyed the only weapons the Afghan government had to defend themselves with.

When the withdrawal agreement was signed early in 2020, the US had around 12,600 troops there. During the remainder of 2020 over 10,000 troops were ordered withdrawn, nearly unconditionally, leaving only 2,500 for the next CiC, while not achieving any of the peace initiatives from the Accords. Those withdrawals were only part of the Accord conditions we carried through on in 2020. Such as abandoning 5 military bases and forcing the Afghans to accept a 5 to 1 prisoner swap that freed 5,000 Taliban fighters. Extending the truce and withdrawal timeline didn't kill those thirteen soldiers, nor were they KIA by the Taliban, a ISIS suicide bomber did that. The equipment the Taliban was able to take belonged to the Afghan Army who dissolved as a fighting force in part due to low moral because of the commanding position the Taliban achieved by our withdrawals in 2020 without forcing the peace initiatives in the agreement. Just like the North Vietnamese got when they overwhelmed the South. We never learn.

President Biden made the hard call and finally ended the occupation.
