Sad to hear this. He truly was a groundbreaking blues artist. His Bluesbreakers group featured a very young Eric Clapton and John McVie, later of Fleetwood Mac. John Mayall encouraged Clapton to sing lead on a Robert Johnson song, which he did quite well. The rest is history. RIP, Mr. Mayall.
