Boston dynamics terrifying robots can now run , jump, and climb

"During the autonomous run, SpotMini uses data from the cameras to localize itself in the map and to detect and avoid obstacles," Boston Dynamics said in the video description. "Once the operator presses 'GO' at the beginning of the video, the robot is on its own."

Wait until they become your police, all these things in the movies you thought were not coming for fifty years think again.

Hurrah for Boston Dynamics. Now we just need to put a rifle in its hands with a self-driving computer controlled police car and you'll have a cop you can't shoot, can't stop, can't get away from, and can't reason or communicate with.

Just watched; that's pretty impressive.
If it matters, I like machines. One of the things I appreciate with firearms is their exquisite precision. Full out racing bicycles are almost 'porn'.
Machines always perform and last best if treated as if alive. Develop a feeling for the function of a machine, and it will sometimes break down on others, but always work for you.
Machines are not living things, though, and one cannot allow oneself to forget that at any moment it is an option to just walk away and leave the thing, or sell it, or destroy it.
When these machines take on such human similarity, it is to be wondered what the effects will be on humans, especially in light of what is stated above.
Personally, I can't imagine an interchange with such a machine when I knew it was wrong or making a mistake. When confronted by recalcitrant mechanical devices, my reactions are often very strong. To paraphrase, "I suffer foolish machines poorly". Embarrassing to say, but I've even been violent when screwed by a box of circuits and levers, usually to the box's deterioration.

I guess that puts the K9 dogs and cops out of a job. You can claim that it was raciest when it gives you a ticket and takes you car apart.

The Bros are not going to like it.

The globalist who have engineered all you hear going on think they are great than humans and want to put robots before humans. They will become more important in all aspects.

They already are getting laws in place for them, including " RAPING" them lmfao and no i'm not kidding.

Don't worry, these machines have a long way to go yet to be fully autonomous, intelligent and able to fully deal with the unexpected, but they are getting there. Man creating machines to use against other men.

Ever see this one

When you see DARPA it's never anything good and they are a fabricated bunch of pricks who claim to create all these great and grand techie things " they like to use soldiers" but DARPA has some dark sided bs . Of course the Gov. uses the bs against us.

Don't Panic ... we're here to serve man ....

If they are programmed to serve a proper cocktail, I am all for it.

When I see a robot, my first concern is NOT if they’ll pass a law to stop me from raping it.

If I wanted to have sex with a huge, expensive, unreliable, and unfeeling machine ... I’d have stayed married.

That's really cool. Years ago I worked on a project developing the first wheelchairs that could climb stairs. The technology is astounding and yet in its infancy..
