Breaking: Riot Season Opens Again in Minnesota

Oh, and resisting arrest and attempting to flee with a 2000lb vehicle isn't? He had every intention of fleeing with that vehicle before he was shot.
The chief of police is making excuses, and so are you. The officer clearly acted on her training.
She stopped a potentially deadly police chase from occurring.
Well just let's say your right. OK ?

Let's look at how cops deal with whites who resists arrests when it's on video.#

A white man can fight with cops and still not got shot. Unless you think if the video's below were black men the cops would have acted exactly the same.

1. White man refuses to comply with police orders.
2. He resists arrest.
3. He goes to his car and opens the door.
4. He attacks police officer.
5. He chases police officer.
6. He tries to steal police officer’s car.
7. He's not shot by police.

Another example.

Not shot.

Lets look at what happens when a white man fights with police

And finally

What a suprise ? Not shot.

Black people should comply? Ask this black man how that worked out for him.

Newsflash, genius, a lot of the black people use their vehicles to flee as do whites. When you flee in a vehicle, that makes you an automatic threat to anyone on the road. When you resist arrest, you become a threat. In that instance, the officers are compelled to neutralize and subdue the threat.

Don't play semantics with me.

And, the guy had an unregistered firearm, according to the warrant. Cops would have approached him as a threat to begin with. If he had not resisted his arrest, he would not have been a threat, and it would not have prompted the officers to take any further action.

EDIT: In other words, he wouldn't be dead.

There is something wrong with people who would make hanging an air freshener in your car illegal.

There is something wrong with someone that would pull someone over for that.

The place needs to burn.

Majority rule. Not Mob rule. Think about why your ideas would help no one except give a little temporary gratification.

Its making a big difference.

Oh bullshit. So we now know it was a female officer who made a mistake, probably bad training as she reached for her gun instead of a taser. That is what stress and adrenaline does to someone.
So now what will destroying businesses do? beating up people, attacking police? all who had nothing to do with the mistake of an individual.

You can burn all the fucking buildings you want, and a person disconnected from any of that can still make a mistake. It happens. Every case needs to be tried on its own merit, but yes... you prove my point... you get your instant personal gratification to see things get burned or looted.
Someone should come over and burn down your house and smash the windows out of your car..... that will really teach the cops to do better next time yep.

Do the right thing. Fire her and charge her and there is no need for the violence.

Kind of too late, the violence has started because people are ignoramuses who don't want to wait for facts to come out. The mob has been told basically its ok to riot because its allowed to go on in the recent past and not be put down.
They should be treated at least as tough as the Capitol rioters, there is no difference. Track them down arrest them and it will stop.
And then there should be transparency and due process when it comes to this cop, let it be handled by a judge and jury... everyone else just shut up and do your screaming at the ballot box.

Good riddance. What happens when raised by a Welfare Mom.

But you would deny that welfare mom the right to abort the fetus right?

How do you confuse a taser with a handgun? Why would they manufacture a taser that would "feel" anything like a handgun?
Theoretically one wouldn't since the weight alone is different. On a properly arranged kit/tool/weapon belt for an LEO, the firearm is on one side and the taser on the other. If one is right-handed, their firearm is holstered on the right, taser on the left.

LE issue are usually in pistol hand grip style for better handling and control. For one thing, tasers are not precise accurate when shot, hence you try to aim for the torso-body mass target. Also, most issue tasers can operate in a dual mode. If in arms length one need only touch the person to discharge the voltage, but cartridge remains chambered. It's at a distance beyond that which is when the cartridge/projectile is fired towards the target person, but usually you only have about 25 feet of trailing wire so it's a close quarters use at that. After one use, usually need to recharge/reload.

Not all tasers are designed to look like pistols, especially those available to the 'civilian' market. Here's some links showing assorted styles/types, etc.

Shooting someone for fleeing with an outstanding warrant isn't usually on the approved shooting list.

20 year old. pulled for an air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror. Called his mother to ask for insurance information, was then questioned about an outstanding warrant on another traffic violation. Attempted to drive off and was shot to death, crashing the car also injuring his girlfriend.

We also haven't seen the video yet to see if he drove off or if maybe the vehicle moved forward after they shot him.

Here it is, and even after viewing it, still a shooting not justified, and the police chief has said it is an accidental shooting, because the female officer was supposed to be using the taser.

Bull....She needs fired and charged. Whoever was in charge of her training needs fired.

If not the people should burn things down.

It'd be a shane if people burnt your home or business over something like this huh?

You're a fckn asshole and part of the problem. Innocent people had nothing to do with this, fuckwit

The alternative is easy. Fire and charge her.
In most law enforcement departments, an officer discharging a firearm results in that officer being placed on temporary leave while the episode is investigated. SOP, even if no deaths or injuries occurred. Such is rarely a positive career event for the officer involved, could delay promotion or further advancement.

A person who does something like this should never be allowed to own a gun again.
In most cases the investigation determines it was a justified use.

Would be more helpful to all if you focused on the vast majority whom aren't supposed to legally own/possess a firearm but do. Such as the many felons and criminals the police deal with daily whom are illegally armed.

While you're at it, your solution to end crimes of violence is ... what ???

Address the main cause. Poverty.

Why is there poverty when there is a free Public School System for which I am paying?
The Democrats have spent 50 years creating a sub-society of welfare and slave labor.

And no, I'm not cheering on the Republicans.

Pretty confusing story so far. He's shot dead in the driver's seat, the police try CPR, and then 'the vehicle travelled several blocks before crashing'???
I guess they took him out of the car and the gf took off?
No. The 20 year old man was shot but not killed instantly. He was able to drive off and had the accident.

Anyone else pissed that MLB, NBA and NHL all canceled planed games in Minnesota tonight?

IMO, a better option is to yank all pro team franchises from the state so we are not inconvenienced like this again.

Most of the world's population lives in "poverty", though admittedly definitions of such vary. Yet we don't see them all resorting to crime, riot, theft, social disorder, etc.

Many find that education and being industrious is the more viable path out of 'poverty" or insufficient income.

Taking from others is a dead end, non real term solution, especially if one has morals, ethics, and some brains. Your posts show you are deficit in all three.

The Minnesota Marauders have a good chance of taking this year's title. A number of Seattle Sackers are out for Tommy John surgery. Their constant rioting has blown out the brick and Molotov Cocktail throwing arms, leaving only their tip cars over linemen and glass storefront kickers fully active. The special teams arsonists will really need to up their game if they have any hope of keeping up with the fresh outrage in Minnesota.

Not just in Minnesota BTW ...
