The flow of illegal immigrants costs WAY more. On a yearly basis too. This $5B is chump change even $50B would be a bargain for Americans.

I have to wonder, why some don't want a wall. Israel built one and illegal entry was down 99%. No more bombings in Jerusalem, no more attacks on citizens, no more people entering on their terms, instead they enter on the terms of the Israeli government, who work on behalf of their citizens.

Let me tell you, there are some arguments I can see for some of his policies, even though I agree with most of them to date. The Wall to me is the most vital and the one which I find arguments against it are the weakest.

So arrest the employers and homeowners paying them. Arrest 1000, fine them 75% of their Gross Income for life, that will stop this.
If they can't make money, they won't come.

If law enforcement isn't allowed to determine who is here legally or illegally, how are employers?

If he does this and wins, it assures his re-election, as I said, if he keeps his promises he cannot lose. I will say that I "told you so". This, along with trade abuses and jobs is why Trump was elected. Citizens are tired of being treated with disdain while global socialists harm you and applaud the pouring in of dependent citizens without you even knowing who, what, where, when or why.

Now, if I am him and a shutdown is needed, I do an impromptu Press Conference, or even better, a fully prepared statement, giving statistics and details as to why it is needed. He can easily sell this wall, take questions, and speak for so many Americans who know why it is needed. Even in Canada we are shocked by how you treat your Southern border (or rather how foreign illegal immigrants treat it). A border wall is needed, along with other security details.

And "BAM", according to Fox, Trump is to speak about the possible shutdown. He's smart to address the nation, it goes a long way to making sure people understand why he is taking such a stance. I guarantee if he positions it as "some don't want a wall because it's permanent and doesn't allow for breaches of our border in future governments", it's a bullseye.

President Trump is in a great mood. He has no problem whatsoever closing down the government to provide Border Security to protect our people. He takes the oath he made very seriously.

Its really up to Chuck and Nancy right now. On January 3rd, the Democrat Party will have full control of the House and they are going to have to work with their President on this. It will be a lot easier to approve the wall now, for the Dems, than it will be in January. The Dems will have to provide the votes in the House then, and that will not be very popular with their Open Border crowd.
