I don't think so. I think Bernie would be a babe led to the slaughter.

The campaign between him and Hillary started off with Hillary attacking. She's been attacked by Republicans since the 1970's so she has learned out to fight. But the Democrats didn't like it and it cost her so she had to stop with that and go with only the issues.

Republicans don't talk about the issues. What do they have to talk about. Not even other Republicans can name a success at anything for the last 40 years unless tricking America into believing tax cuts for the rich creates jobs or Iraq was a threat. Or that the poor don't want to work. Or healthcare is bad. Or education makes you a snob.

With Trump in office educated foreigners would pour into the country. We all know that. That's who Trump hires. Trump is spending money to train people? Hardly. He even scammed thousands with his hilarious Trump University.

But Bernie Santa would be so far out of his comfort zone, Trump would convince America that Bernie is not only doddering, but one headache away from full stroke but a Soviet Socialist plotting the deaths of millions of Americans.

But, with Trump's anti American message of hate and religious and racial discrimination, Hillary will slaughter him at the polls.

Bernie would beat Trump badly. No doubt about it. However, I think HRC will be the candidate for the Dems.

I have to agree with Jake on this one...

The Minority vote in states like California, Illinois, Ohio, and Florida would not sway to Trump which mean he loses those states.

Then Texas has a very big Hispanic community and if they believe that Trump is for real on his word about deporting and building the wall they will swing around against him and could cost the GOP Texas.

With those states out of play then what does Trump have left to win?

New York?

Maybe because he is from there or he could end up being like Al Gore and lose his home state in a General Election.

Bernie has less baggage than Hillary but either one should be able to beat Trump or even Cruz without any problem... ( If Cruz is the nominee then expect Texas to stay red )

If Cruz is the nominee, he wins Texas and may hold the down vote for a red Senate.

No one can beat him. just accept it and get on with your pathetic lives. Isn't that what you left/dems told people when you stuck that Obama on them?

Stephanie, your guy is beginning to slip, as you well know. He will flub March 15 primaries, and then he will have to go third party because he can't win a contested convention.

He might fall on the 8th of this month, and the 15th could see him ( Trump ) fall further but with Trump falling and Cruz rising is that any better?

Honestly, I don't see how Bernie could beat Trump. Bernie Santa's "let's make everything free" is just as dishonest as Trump's "wall".

I think once people realize the true cost of Sanders' proposals he'd go down in flames. That said, he's not getting the nomination, so all we can do is speculate.

You got me again. I can never figure out what you are talking about and who knows where your delusions lead.

I think you may be off your ketamine.

Republicans terrorize America more than al Qaeda and Isis put together. With Bernie, they would have a target.

Bruce, a GOP leader said whether Trump or Cruz is the nominee the election would be suicide by gun or hanging. Cruz would hold the Senate for the GOP.

the battle over Obama's nominee will be a big factor in the Senate

and Hillary could lose to anybody, she is an awful candidate. Bernie? WOULD lose to any of them, he hasn't even been touched yet, if he becomes the nominee, it will be scorched earth bringing down Comrade Bernie...

The Republican leadership and mainstream voters will reject Trump.

They have told you so.

Republicans have been trying to take down Hillary Clinton since the late 70's and it the GOP that's been burned again and again. The only thing they can hurt her on is being secretive and why did she become secretive? Yea, I wonder. Could it be because she has been attacked for decades by the GOP?

I think Bernie bring far more to the table than just free stuff. Asking why our gov't bailed out banks and car manufacturers and then says they can't pay back what they owe to Social Security is a major issue in my book. Look at the money the gov't gives (including tax breaks) to major corporations. Take that and the wasteful spending in the DoD and you could fund most of his programs. Stop spending trillions of dollars on useless wars and you could fund all that.

Bernie, for all his things I disagree with, is at least looking for solutions. Trump is just blaming groups for shit that is not their fault, and using the anger generated to gain votes.

The Bernie people mistakenly believe it's trade agreements that has ruined our manufacturing. If you think about it, it's obvious:

http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-acti...-block-bill-to-end-tax-breaks-for-outsourcing

Senate Republicans blocked a bill that would end tax breaks for companies that send jobs overseas.

On Wednesday, the Senate voted 54-42 to end debate on S. 2569, the Bring Jobs Home Act — 60 votes were needed to advance the measure.

It's not Hillary they should be attacking.

The banks and car companies paid back the loans with interest. You sit in front of the Internet. Go look it up. Don't be a Republican. The GOP never wants to know the truth. We need to be better than that.

Yes they did. And that has some bearing. But the main fact, imho, is that the federal gov't owes Social Security $2.7 trillion. And since the "borrowing" started, there has never been any attempt, or even discussion, at paying it back.
