CBO: GDP is projected to grow by 2.3 % in 2019 (Trump promised 4%)

A projection.....which are almost always wrong.

Nothing to see here.

I look at it as "temporary inconvenience - permanent improvement". 2.3% is still better than 1.8%. The trade war will hit GDP, but in the long run if we can manage China's unfair trade practices we will gain economically. As long as Trump keep producing jobs in the US he's winning. The alternative is Obama's "those jobs are not coming back"

So you are specifically pointing out that Trump said something that might not actually be true on the campaign trail yet through some warped imagination you give every other politician in history a pass. Is there a specific reason for that?

Looks like we will be over annual GDP last year then we were for eight years before that. When we were assured that 2% was the new normal.

Predictions are always based on current data. That data could change dramatically depending on things like an end to trade wars, higher pay, unexpected changes in manufacturing processes.
