While it is great that there wont be so many murders of unborn girls now, the whole concept that the government has the right to tell people how man y children that they can have comes straight out of Marx's Dictatorship of the Proletariat.

Too little, too late. Literally. If China truly understood the situation they are in, they would remove all restrictions altogether and allow as many children as possible, but even then it will take decades to repair the damage of their misguided policy. India is mathematically slated to overtake China by 2022 and nothing China does at this point will stop. That population translates into greater economic power as India is swiftly utilizing their impressive numbers to their advantage. China's stupidity will ensure that in the 21st century, they'll be pushed to the side by countries that don't make enemies out of their own people.
