Allah is pretty simple to explain. It is definitive and you have no doubt as to whom a person is speaking of. It removes any possible reference to more than 1 deity. There is no plural to Allah. It removes any way of changing gender of the deity. God is ambiguous and can be used in a way that can be viewed as pagan by adding s to God(s). You can also add at the end to turn it into a female god(dess). So no its not the same. Muslims see Jesus as 1 of many prophets with Muhammad being the last.
