In elegantly granular detail Judge Chutkan eviscerates trump's attempt to paint his prosecution in the Jan. 6 case as being the result of a politicized DoJ. It's worth reading every word.

Because it so thoroughly exposes trump's assertion as being wholly without substance her ruling will be dismissed by The Following in the strongest terms. How can it not be since acknowledging her sound legal reasoning shatters one of the main tenets of trump's complaints. That he is being prosecuted unfairly. He isn't.

It's going nowhere. Is Jack Smith still even in the US?
You seem reluctant to comment on her ruling. Oh.......wait........it's because you didn't read it.

Care to address whether you think trump's whiny complaints have merit?

Pardon me for noting how the board's resident conservatives are all about parroting the false claims leveled against trump's prosecutions. But when faced with a legal analysis of one of them, reducing it to rubble, it's crickets.

Bloviating your wishes is one thing.

Actually being able to argue the truth of them with evidence is another. And by "another", I do mean you will never ever do it.

Trump's lawyers are paid to try. And they got their asses handed to them (see OP).
His attorneys don't seem to mind prostituting themselves by making frivolous motions at Don's direction.

As discussed above, Defendant has proffered no meaningful evidence to satisfy this “correspondingly rigorous standard” to justify the additional factfinding he seeks. See supra Sections III.B., IV.B. Nor has he given any explanation of how a hearing would produce material evidence to support his claims. Because Defendant has failed to carry his burdens, the court must deny his request for an evidentiary hearing. See, e.g., Khanu, 664 F. Supp. 2d at 35.

trump's motions were unsubstantiated nonsense. Therefore, so are his claims he is being persecuted.

This is just another political trial with no merit.

Polly want a cracker????

Your argument isn't based on any facts whatsoever, and has no merit.

You claim that it's "just another political trial", but in reality, no other President in American history has ever been charged with crimes committed while he was in office. Of course, Republicans refused to impeach him. If they had impeached him, he wouldn't be running for office.

Mitch McConnell told Democrats to charge him criminally, and yet when Trump was charged criminally, Republicans claimed the charges were all political.

Quite frankly there are literally hundreds of other charges the DOJ could have pursued - bribery, corruption, pay for play, theft from the Treasury. Lying about everything. Obstruction of justice.

Trump is getting off light.

Still waiting for the ruling on Jack Smith's legitimacy. Until then, there is no J6.
Even if there is a J6, Pelosi took responsibility for it. So Trump is home free either way.

Was Jack Smith's appointment unconstitutional? He has no more authority than Taylor Swift, amicus brief argues

Does it bother you how trump constantly tries to get off on technicalities, having no way to refute his guilt?

What you are saying is laughable and irrelevant. It would have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on a jury deciding if Trump did what he is accused of doing.

And unless Trump gets elected and corruptly makes his cases go away, these cases are not going anywhere. The DOJ will bring them with a new prosecutor, if needed.
