What we do know is that when Gates, and Flynn dropped their lawyers and went with new lawyers, it was because they chose to cooperate with the investigation, and they needed a lawyer/lawyers whose specialty was Plea Deals.

Have they mentioned who his new law firm is going to be? We could figure out more by their specialty....

It could be, he's going for the best trial lawyers to fight off money laundering, in a court case, and not necessarily a law firm known for handling Plea Deals/for cooperation.

Yes, that is true about State Attorney cases....

But this is a FEDERAL DISTRICT court district, that he is being investigated by..... THIS IS a federal court, the Southern District of New York is the Federal court for southern New Yorkers, and NOT a State court.... they could transfer the case to a State court perhaps? At least the crimes involved with his Taxi business doings?

And it is my understanding that the President CAN pardon, anyone who has been charged in any Federal court district, in any of our 50 states? As long as the person was charged or convicted in any of our Federal court systems, within the States or DC.

as example, joe arpaio was not convicted by Arizona's State courts, even though he was convicted in Arizona....

he was convicted by the FEDERAL district court in Arizona, on federal crimes....

And this is why President Trump, could pardon him.
