Two states in the heartland of America. They both used to be hopeless liberal and year in and year out promoting the same leftist policies that were killing it! Yet WI moved away from that path and the proof is in the pudding!

Walker came into office with a bigger budget issue than glup even IL!!! He went through some tough fights with COWARDLY and DISGRACEFUL democrats and won. His results:
(1) A budget SURPLUS for the third straight year.
(2) Didn't close any schools and one of the few states ADDING teachers.
(3) Schools that where hopeless in the red and were going to be closed are now in the black.
(4) He didn't raise taxes!!!
(5) Jobs are going to WI.

Quinn's IL
(1) A budget deficit that is growing and growing, because the Democrats are too big of cowards to take on the Unions. Don't believe the pension bill that the house passed, it's a bandaid on gushing wound. We will have a budget deficit AGAIN!
(2) More record teacher layoffs and more record school closings.

(3) TAXES!!!! Raise in taxes at 5% flat tax, IL has one of the highest rates on the middle class in the country. Property taxes went up again. We have some of the highest rates in the country. Sales, gas, utility, etc all are some of the highest in the country. And they just raised the tolls. To get to the city from the suburbs it can cose up to $6 round trip!
(4) And a 9.5% unemployment rate!!!
Illinois unemployment spikes to 9.5% as more join job search - Chicago Sun-Times
