Back in the pinko 60's through the 90's radical moonbats were the fringe. Their ideas were intriguing and their "alternative" message had the attraction of being taboo.

The bed wetters are desperate for a "safe space" and are far more intolerant than the "conservatives" who controlled the country in the 60's and "suppressed" the liberal "thinking" that was readily available in print and marketed as "alternative" at the time.
