right, christianity is nothing like it was during the Inquisition TODAY---but islam has not actually changed at all. Muslims take great pride in the UNCHANGING NATURE of islam. Of course there are lots of modern thinkers in the crowd---but
the actual highly honored "SCHOLARS" and religious institutions are back there in the seventh century. Ie the core is seventh century.
