COP21:Climate deal final draft 'agreed' in Paris

This is funny; most third world countries who were expecting big windfalls are now screaming that they will vote this agreement down because they are receiving nothing monetarily from anyone.. How long before dumb ass Obama chimes in and bribes them with US FUNDS?

meh

nobody cares

treaty non-binding.

Offuckingcourse the Republicans wont support it......they have constituents that would throw their asses out if they did.:eusa_dance:

Thankfully too, the House will be red until at least 2020 so we don't have to worry about this crap for some time!!:boobies::boobies::coffee:

Leave it to progressives to come up with a treaty to fuck over the poor.

You think the clowns in the house will stop this? They tried to stop healthcare more than 50 times, but didn't have much luck there either.

s0n......you have the political IQ of a small soap dish......the DUMS had both houses in Congress in 2008 so the GOP couldn't do dick with healthcare.

Back to topic........found this in REALCLEARPOLITICS and laughed my balls off >>>

:2up:Paris Climate Deal Looking ‘Weak,’ BNEF Analyst Chatterton Says | Bloomberg Government:2up:

wEaK

But you have voted more than 50 times to kill healthcare since 2008. I'm sure the 60th time will be successful though.

Your low information voter side is showing..

It finally passed the senate a week or so ago.

Yet they don't have the votes to override a veto. As usual, another Republican failure.

Congrats for looking it up....

Will the republicans listen and consider voting for such a bill?

In this case, the actual treaty is the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) of 1992. That treaty, which mandated further negotiations to limit greenhouse gases, was ratified by the US Senate. This current action is an implementation of that treaty, so no new vote by the senate is required. And if the Republicans try some tricks, the courts will smack them down, because the treaty is what it is.

None of that crap is binding you moron..Doesn't mean shit really

This pretty well sums up the agreement...

"This isn’t a plan to which the United States government has agreed. A negotiator was sent to Paris by the President, but his only role was to put together a package that can be presented to the Senate for its approval. According to the US Constitution, Congress has sole authority to “regulate Commerce with foreign Nations”. The Constitution further states that “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law”, appropriations which are under the authority of Congress.

Nothing that was said and no document that was signed in Paris can lead to the spending of one dime of US money unless Congress says so. Adding a few weasel words to a document that claims to bypass the US Congress does nothing,

So you can all climb down off the window ledge. Nothing has changed in the US as a result of this farce."

One more farce for AGW..

Someone seems to be out on the window ledge, and it's the deniers here.

It must have been rough, having reality smack them in the face that hard. The whole planet just made it official that deniers are a pack of cranks. I think it's finally dawning on some of them, just how crazy they've been for so many years. But they can't go back to sanity and admit the dirty liberals were right, so now they're forced to keep moving further out on that tree limb.

Here is what your high priest had to say about COP21:

James Hansen, father of climate change awareness, calls Paris talks 'a fraud'

the guardian said:
“It’s a fraud really, a fake,” he says, rubbing his head. “It’s just bullshit for them to say: ‘We’ll have a 2C warming target and then try to do a little better every five years.’ It’s just worthless words. There is no action, just promises. As long as fossil fuels appear to be the cheapest fuels out there, they will be continued to be burned.”

The talks, intended to reach a new global deal on cutting carbon emissions beyond 2020, have spent much time and energy on two major issues: whether the world should aim to contain the temperature rise to 1.5C or 2C above preindustrial levels, and how much funding should be doled out by wealthy countries to developing nations that risk being swamped by rising seas and bashed by escalating extreme weather events.

But, according to Hansen, the international jamboree is pointless unless greenhouse gas emissions aren’t taxed across the board. He argues that only this will force down emissions quickly enough to avoid the worst ravages of climate change.

Now does it feel hairball, to be even a bigger nut than hansen?

COP21:Climate deal final draft 'agreed' in Paris

Source: BBC
Organisers of the climate talks in Paris say a final draft text has been agreed after nearly two weeks of intensive negotiations.

An official in the office of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told the AFP news agency the draft would be presented to ministers at 10:30 GMT.

(snip)
"We have a text to present," the official said, adding that the draft would be now translated into the UN's six official languages.

(snip)
Analysts say that this is not a done deal - ratification will only take place if there are no objections raised at Saturday morning's ministerial meeting, and even is unlikely to come before afternoon in the French capital.

French and UN officials completed an edit early on Saturday of the final draft to be presented to ministers for adoption, conference host France said, after nearly two weeks of tough haggling for a climate rescue pact.

"We have a text to present," an official in the office of Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who presides over the talks said.

After translation into the UN's six official languages, the document will be presented to ministers at 11.30 am (1030 GMT), nearly 16 hours after the conference had been scheduled to close.

Final draft of climate deal ready for adoption

Will the republicans listen and consider voting for such a bill?
Seriously? Repubs listen? They are on the payroll of the extraction industries. The last thing they want is restrictions on digging stuff up out of the ground so they can burn it.

Mental masturbation and nothing else...waiting on anything from that conference to actually happen is like Charlie Brown waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear. Here is what the king of the warmers has to say on the conference.

Mere mention of the Paris climate talks is enough to make James Hansen grumpy. The former Nasa scientist, considered the father of global awareness of climate change, is a soft-spoken, almost diffident Iowan. But when he talks about the gathering of nearly 200 nations, his demeanor changes.

“It’s a fraud really, a fake,” he says, rubbing his head. “It’s just bullshit for them to say: ‘We’ll have a 2C warming target and then try to do a little better every five years.’ It’s just worthless words. THATS RIGHT s0n!!!:coffee: We are!!! And thank God for natural gas........go ask the Germans!!

The voters spoke in 2014 and progressives got their clocks cleaned........the folks don't want to pay double for electricity based upon some hail mary pass theory by a handful of scientists!! Hey.........like Obama said back in 2009..........elections have consequences!!!:eusa_dance::eusa_dance::eusa_dance::eusa_dance::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

Sorry, kids been out of the house a long time and I haven't watched that show since they were little.

Weren't you telling us, one or two days in, that the Paris conference was a complete wash? That there would be no agreement. That nothing would be done?

It would appear that here, as on so MANY other things, you were wrong.
