Whether democrats could win an election without hoaxes and fabrications is immaterial. They believe that they cannot win elections without some sort of fabrications. They will continue to act in accordance with that belief until something happens to show them they are wrong.

I'd start with holding the whole party to funding and running
the very universal health care and prison reforms they
have long promised to donors, supporters and voters.

If they practice what they preach, they will win regardless
what else happens with govt. The party needs to enforce
and live up to its own principles before proving or selling
this to the larger public to buy into
