My point of view is that gender identity is a personal choice.
A choice which is facilitated by technology advances (surgery).
If a person chooses to have another sex is a choice over his or her own body.

To me it has the same moral value as choosing between drinking or not.
Drinking might not be the healthiest choice depending on the quantity , but it's a personal choice.
