In his “Op-Ed: Dear President-elect Trump—Don't listen to the 'ignorant voices' on climate change”, scientist Ben Santer implores Trump not to ignore climate change.

Unfortunately for the U.S., Trump knew it was necessary to be as “proudly ignorant" as his followers on all issues, so he agreed with the Republican lie that, "Nobody really knows" the causes of global warming.

However, there are many scientists and knowledgeable individuals who understand and can cite the reasons for our current climate crisis. But the gleefully misinformed right-wingers only hear what they want and deny everything that contradicts their imbecilic way of thinking.

Not only will Trump, as a typical conservative, deny the existence of climate change, he is going to follow the same Republican economic policies that crashed the economy in 2008. He is going to help the war profiteers continue to line their pockets by sending U.S. troops to die in some foreign country in more needless conflicts.

Trump’s voters want to continue to believe “they won” on November 8. But, like all other Republican victories, the idiots on the right lost again, just like every other average American.

The right-wingers have maintained their willful ignorance for over four decades, and by electing Trump, they are forcing the rest of America to join them in suffering low wages, job loss, and every other negative effect of the GOP’s supply-side nonsense.

People of reason do have one bright spot to look forward to during the Trump administration, laughing at the righties as they blame every misery caused them by their beloved GOP on the powerless congressional Democrats and the other traditional scapegoats preferred by conservatives. The righties have forgotten the Democrats have been the House minority since 2011, and the Senate minority since 2015. This is more evidence of their deliberate ignorance and choice to remain blind to the truth.

Op-Ed: Dear President-elect Trump—Don't listen to the 'ignorant voices' on climate change

People of reason and rational thought must not pay any attention to the Trump voters responses to this OP or any other posts. On November 8, 2016, they all proved they had the thought process of a grapefruit.
