Unless there is a state or national party rule against it, awarding delegates regardless of popular votes in a state is ... OK. There's certainly no law against, nor is the constitution applicable. Individuals are certainly free to consider how a nominee is chosen in deciding whom to vote for, or even to vote.So if state party machines steal their delegates honestly then they should get to keep them, eh?I never understood why the Constitution mentions neither God nor political parties. But seriously, fair or not, I didn't think the rules committee had any place in deciding who are delegates, so long as they are legally registered and the state parites followed their own rules in selecting them. There may be political consequences for state parties not playing "fair," but fair is not part of life unless it's in the parties' rules.
