Union members pack York City courtyard to rally against dues-checkoff bill

Dozens of Teamsters held signs in Cherry Lane Courtyard, announcing opposition to House Bill 1507. If passed, the bill would prohibit the automatic deduction of union dues and political contributions from the paychecks of public employees.

A little bit of media hype here?

In any case, another sign of employee anger of having money taken from their pay checks whether they want it to be or not. The bill's still in committee but I can bet we'll see a lot more about this as it goes through the legislative process.
