Trump says it is his shutdown. It is Senate Republicans who are refusing to vote. That is why we have the Trump/McConnell shutdown.

You completely ignored the D-Ga Rep who openly opposes Pelosi's refusal to negotiate / compromise, who said 'NEGOTIATING AND COMPROMISE IS HOW THINGS WORK'. Pelosi wants only 1 thing - to hurt Trump's 2020 chances, and she is proving she has no problem hurting Americans to do so.

Passing 'edicts' and demanding the Senate and President meet her demands is not how govt works - its how hostage negotiations start out.

Again Trump cannot build a wall by declaring a national emergency. Obama's declarations of a national emergency did not violate the Constitution.

President Trump can and should declare one to free up already allocated money that he can Constitutionally use in an effort to protect our national security.

The Wall pays for itself in the form of seizure of more Mexican Drug Cartel money and assets, and in the form of taxing remittances which will be coming down the pike soon.

It's like a turnpike if they would ever build it. The initial funding might come from the taxpayers but after that it will produce a net profit every year. Just cutting down on the number of illegals will help pay for it.

The fact is that most drugs go through POEs. The wall does not pay for anything as the money is laundered through the banking system. We need to be interfering with that flow of money.
