Democrats and the Abortion Issue

Separation of state and federal power has nothing to do with the question as asked regarding your statement expressing as some sort of fact that abortion is up to the states as designed. Designed by whom or what statute since the right for a person to terminate her own pregnancy is not addressed in the Constitution. It can therefore be considered by individuals who become pregnant to be an unenumerated right falling under the human rights principle of right to privacy and right to bodily autonomy and protection against government intrusion on one’s lawful pursuit of life liberty and happiness.
Ding ding ding. Then it falls to the state ;) as spelled out in the 10th Amendment.

There is no reason or right for any state to decide to restrict the liberty of women when they cause no harm to civil order or any person when they choose to safely terminate their own pregnancy through a safe medical procedure.

Why do you support a state’s use of government intrusion a power to restrict individual liberty when you don’t believe abirtion on demand harms anybody?
Deciding if that is sad or funny due to the subject matter. Either way it might end up in my signature. Abortion doesn't cause harm". LOL. That is classic.

My full statement was causes no harm to civil order. Please respond to that.

Women were getting abortions for 50 years prior to fetal viability outside the womb, and there was no harm to civil society or civil order caused by women having access to legal safe medical procedure in private.

If you can counter that point, please do so here.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

No. Right to privacy is an individual right that falls to the people. Women are still play people’s when they are in an unwanted pregnancy. The state must protect their rights, even unenumerated rights.,

You said, and I quote. .." when they cause no harm to civil order or any person.."

Do you really think the word "people" means the federal government? Let me help you, it doesn't. Nor does "people" mean the right of an individual to kill someone for convenience purposes. You are trying to purposely misinterpret like a true activist left winger. Let me help you. Instead of taking my word for it, do a web search on the meaning of the 10th Amendment. In case that is difficult, I did one for you.

powers that are not specifically granted to the federal government by the Constitution. The Tenth Amendment gives these powers to the states.
It is up to the States if a women has the right to kill her baby. Looks like you are forgetting about that person's right. Was hoping to stay away from the abortion right or wrong and just focus on fact that if it isn't spelled out in the Constitution it goes to the states. You just want it to be in the hands of the fed because the liberal arm agrees with you, and not because you support the rule of law. I think we both know that.

We know now that Republicans aren't done or satisfied with abortion just being a state issue. They are actively, slowly, methodically moving towards an all out national ban. If they have a Republican POTUS, Senate, House.
Something to consider. It cost between $16,227 and $18,262 a year raising a child born in 2023. $325,000 over 18 years young people. You better show up. Fuck Palestine.

Is Biden lying?

FACT SHEET: House Republicans Endorse a National Abortion Ban with Zero Exceptions in Latest Budget

The Republican Study Committee budget:

  • Supports eliminating reproductive freedom for all women in every state and puts IVF treatment squarely on the chopping block through House Republicans’ support for the Life at Conception Act.
  • Endorses banning mifepristone – an FDA-approved, safe and effective medication that has been on the market for more than 20 years.
  • Supports rolling back policies that help ensure our Nation’s veterans have access to abortion care when their health or lives are at risk or in cases of rape or incest.
  • Guts funding for contraception—which is supported by the vast majority of Americans on both sides of the aisle—for low-income and uninsured women. This would further erode access to essential health care, from cancer screening to primary care, at a time when state abortion bans have already forced health clinics that provide contraception and other critical health services to close.
If House Republicans get their way, all of these proposals would become the law of the land.

When the Supreme Court – enabled by justices nominated by Donald Trump – overturned Roe v. Wade and allowed politicians to intrude in the most personal decisions women and families can make, it paved the road for Republican elected officials to pursue their extreme agenda. Their latest budget advances that extreme agenda.

Republican elected officials have already imposed abortion bans in 21 states and last year, they introduced more than 380 state bills attacking access to reproductive health care. And, as the Republican Study Committee budget makes clear, they won’t stop until a national abortion ban is in place.

If the Republicans are pushing via the Federal Government, then it is not being done properly as spelled out by our laws. However, if this is a state to state push than that is how it should be approached. However, what you posted are examples of removing federal involvement. Removing federal abortion funding, etc. would be fine and of the law since it is involvement by the federal government and should be removed.
