The Democrats demanded Trump released his tax records knowing full well , real estate developers get some of the best tax breaks in the nation.
The U.S. tax code allows real estate developers to claim depreciation on their properties even if profits and values are going up.
The Democrats , knowing the average person has no idea how the tax code works for millionaires , would have easily been able distort the truth to make Trump look like a tax dodger.
Trump brilliantly avoided the issue by saying he would release his tax returns after the audit was over...knowing that with his amount of profit he's always under audit.
