Democrats will revive the "Gephardt Rule," introduced in the late 1970s by Rep. Dick Gephardt, D-Mo., that automatically raises the debt ceiling — the nation's borrowing limit — once the House passes a budget.

Just one of them.

That's right. There won't be anymore shutdowns by the House nutjobs. And because McConnell isn't going to allow it in the Senate, there won't be anymore shutdowns for any reason. Looks like the rightards are going to have to settle for whining and crying.

Not like Trumpers. Who can say trillion dollar deficit and 21 trillion dollar debt under Trump. Trumpers are only opposed to debt when it is not them running up the credit card.

At some point, we are going to regret the reckless spending of our national government, but so far, it looks like none of our politicians have the courage to address it.

The House will pass a budget to submit to the Senate.

They will only get a budget to vote on. It will be up to McConnell to pass it, because there can now be no negotiation on it.

Pass it, or not pass it. Those are choices the Republicans have now.

You who have been silent as a church mouse as 1.3 trillion was added by Trump and the GOP controlled congress just look stupid bringing up the debt now.

Why would they when they know they can count on the faithful to keep voting them back into office no matter what.

This isn’t about the decision to spend. It’s about the decision to pay bills that are due.

Learn the difference. Please.

Spending is spending, if you want to cut spending then stop paying bogus bills. Only bills that should be paid is for Social Security, because people paid into it, the military and defense because it keeps US safe, and medicare, other spending should be stopped immediately, because We dont need a overbloated government taking from US what "they" think we should pay, then give it to lazy fucking liberal assholes who sit back and do nothing.
