When Obama did the same exact thing in 2011, the right supported him. The left remained silent. The left never opposed back when Carter did it, either. The left also applauded Bill Clinton when he stated that we had a problem with illegal immigration and wanted increased border security and more deportations. Both Hillary and Obama supported increased border security as senators.
There is no reason to object to keeping Americans safe. If Hillary was doing this, there would be silence and no protests at airports. This is just the left continuing their tantrums over Hillary losing the WH.
Either liberals are so ignorant that they cannot see the difference between taking measures to prevent ISIS members and other terrorists from sneaking in and an outright Muslim ban. As usual, the left changes the language to fit their narrative and fake news reports bullshit. There is no way to vet these people.
Muslim countries need to step up and help. Why hasn't the left uttered one word of criticism to all the wealthy Muslim countries for ignoring the refugees?
If you want to help them, the best way is to have Muslim countries set up housing, which Saudi Arabia already has in the millions, and get the people out of harm's way. Instead, Obama's plan was to bring people over here in the next few years. Any rational person would realize that people who can wait months or years are clearly not in immediate danger. The U.N. already admitted that most of these people are not in any danger and merely wanting to spread out to other countries, supposedly for better opportunities.
The people NOT INCLUDED in the refugee resettlement are Christians and they are in immediate danger. Many have already been brutally murdered as young Muslim males get tickets out of there.
"Democrats and liberal activists â along with their lapdog media allies â have blasted President Donald Trumpâs temporary ban on entry from 7 countries at high risk of ISIS infiltration of the incoming refugee population.
About 160 people were estimated to have been detained at various airports under the order. Despite the media hysteria, all but a few have already been released in less than a day.
IJReview interviewed Chris Kyleâs Iraqi interpreter, âJohnny Walker,â and he was â100%â in support of the measure.
âI agree 100% with President Trumpâs decision. The national security of the United States is a paramount issue.
All President Trump is doing is ensuring that people can go about their day without living in so much fear. Women wonât have to worry about walking around the mall; kids wonât have to worry about going to the school.
Look, these countries donât have a database that keeps track of its citizens. And we canât depend on a government database in countries that do, because if they have one it has a political agenda behind it.
It wouldnât be hard for someone to get into the U.S. whose loyalty lies with ISIS or a militia aligned with Iran. While the militia isnât necessarily our enemy right now, they donât have loyalty to the U.S., they are loyal to the interests of the government that funds them. And that government says âDeath to America.â
ISISâs strongholds are in Iraq and Syria. We all know what they want to do to Americans.â
âBesides, the government of Iraq is involved with the militia who gets all their support from Iran, the number-one state sponsor of terrorism. ISIS has a haven in Libya. Al-Shabaab is in Somalia and has pledged their allegiance to ISIS.
Iran has several terrorist groups affiliated with it. Yemen has Al-Qaeda, ISIS and the militia. And in Sudan, Hamas raises money for terrorism and has a presence.
The bottom line is this: Americans need to understand that this is for national security.â
Walker noted there should be at least one exception: the interpreters, translators and those who worked with Americans, who were promised visas for their efforts and whose lives were legitimately in danger if they remained in their home countries.
Two such Iraqi translators were briefly detained by Trumpâs DHS at JFK in the early hours after his executive order. Both were released within 14 hours.
Walker recounted how Al Qaeda killed his brother because he, Walker, worked for the United States. âWhen the terrorists find you, they donât just murder you, they murder your brother, sister, dad, mom, grandparents, cousin, and friends, too.â
Walker said Trumpâs decision will help prevent terrorism and the death of more innocent people.
He also pointed out that other Muslim countries have also banned immigration from some of these countries, asking âSaudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatarâ are they racist, too?â
