Do these words apply today?

"You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time".

Does this apply today? An assassinaton attempt on a former US president just took place and it was treated like a puff piece on a local news station. What kind of a reasonable mind would see that and think it was normal? The shooter brought his own ladder, a drone, a range finder, a car full of remotely detonated explosives, and a gun provided to him by professional, politically liberal parents that hated the target.

The shooter was observed casing the scene and choosing a sniper's crow's nest for hours before the incident by attendees and local police. The roof the shooter used was just yards from the target and had direct line of sight to it. The Secret Service that was there to protect the target chose not to communicate with local police and ignored conerned onlookers that saw a man climbing a roof with a rifle. The shooter got eight shots off before he was eliminated by Secret Service snipers,

The attempt failed because the bullets missed the target by micro inches. The media that hates the former president just picked itself up, dusted itself off and started all over again with hateful propaganda saying the former president was a bad man that was a threat to democracy anyway. Nothing to see here folks, move along.

You see how those words may not apply today?

More apt to say......... you can brainwash lazy, worthless, ego maniacal sheeples anytime, anywhere......but you can't brainwash TRUE Americans that actually believe in the Constitution and aren't looking for a free handout.

No excuse for an obvious shooting platform not being covered or for not having a single communications network

A call of “man with a gun on the roof” should have been broadcast to all

So you are saying it was just one of those things? A glitch? Could it possibly have been something more sinister? Just asking.

You can't even admit Joe Biden needs to step down yesterday due to being infirm.

You deny that those around in him government and the media had been covering for him up until the debate.

You sir are a cultist.

Do you think terms like "conspiracy theory" are being used to intimidate people and disuade them from asking questions? The purpose of media should be to dig into these incidents and determine what happened not to close discussion and brand people who ask questions as just nuts that don't know what they are talking about.

No, I think “conspiracy theory” is a tactful way of saying……What you are saying is fucking stupid

Ok, let's go the hypothetical route. If a gunman tried to assassinate Biden or Harris and failed do you think the media would have shoved it to the back pages? Or is it more likely that they would have gone after the former president and all his supporters for kindling the incident with violent rhetoric? You see how this more about the media and its purpose in a democracy than it is about actual news reported by news organizations?

When media functions as public relatons for the status quo does that serve the democratic process?

After the incident the media went into damage control for the current administraton. When media functions as public relatons for the status quo does that serve the democratic process?

Why is a Trump Assassination Conspiracy theory fucking stupid?

Because no valid conspiracy would select a geeky 20 year old with marginal shooting skills as their assassin

They would choose an experienced Marine Corps sniper or mob assassin and give him the weapon of his choice. Not his Daddy’s AR 15

The media initially went that direction is labeling the assassin as an Anti-Trump person obsessed with anti-trump rhetoric.

That quickly fell apart when it turned out the kid was a Republican with little political activism who was obsessed with guns

This is no so much about a conspiracy theory as it is about the strange reaction of the media to softsoap a legimate assassination attempt. If the coin were flipped this would not be the case and you know it.

The story ran out of steam

Trump was not seriously injured
The assassin turned out to be a gun nut not a political activist

The only story remaining is why was the Secret Service so inept?
