Meantime, 6 years later, after over 33 votes by the republicans to repeal ACA, the beat goes on. The percentage of Americans who are uninsured has reached an all time low. Not one of the serious candidates is even screaming about ACA any more (they have all jumped on the illegal immigrant bandwagon). Private insurance companies, who are the actual insurers, have reached unprecedented heights in their stock values. The American business community is joyfully anticipating the day when they will no longer be the only businesses in the world with the responsibility of factoring in their group health insurance costs into their product prices. Hospitals are thrilled that someday, they will no longer have to treat uninsured walk-ins for free. Yet, with all this, there are still whiners who feel that things were better when insurance companies could simply refuse to insure you under any circumstances. Rave on!
