Insurers Who Slept In The White House Must Now Make Their Own Beds - Forbes

"The insurance industry supported OmamaCare from the beginning. They donated far more money to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton than to any Republican candidates, although at the same time the two Democrats publicly castigated them for producing most of the big health care problems and excessive profiteering.

Why would the companies choose to go along with such demonization? Because they were already in financial trouble, and had nowhere else to turn. Their old business model was broken and they needed an exit strategy. ObamaCare offered that doorway."

Oh... you're talking about healthcare.gov

That's the least of my problem with ACA. The fact that it's not working is a blessing.

no it is not...i am one of the people it was suppose to help...pre existing conditions and all that....but i dont see millions losing insurance as a good thing....i think it will be a good program once it gets rolled out and the kinks get worked out but a lot of people are gonna suffer before that happens

It's working.

bones, go back and see if that question is about estimated income for 2014. My spouse said that is what that question is about.

Far fewer folks will be hurt in the long run than in the system we have now.

Luddly, shut up: the b'rer rabbit comment in this context is about trickery and misdirection not racism.

Take your time with it.

The bad roll out is a good thing in the end, because now my GOP can get involved in improving it instead of caterwauling that repeal is the answer.

ACA may be blessings in disguise in that it isolates the socialists on the left and the TPM on the right from ability to really interfere.

In other words, it's a blessing for corporatists.

Why the racist references?

What does that have to do with the op?

How is the story of br'er rabbit racist other than the fact that a black man told the story? Br'er rabbit wanted to be thrown in the briar patch to get the tar off his fur and he used reverse psychology to accomplish that. I guess you think a black man can't be wise enough to understand reverse psychology. It is a great story. Maybe one day it will be remade with a white PhD story teller and be politically correct.

I think Luddly was just subtly mocking the liberal habit of screeching 'racist!' at every criticism of Obama.

I have to disagree. She thinks too concretely to 'mock' anything. In order to 'mock' you have to have some humor and inductive thinking skills. She is the most black and white poster I have ever encountered on a forum.

The people suffering are the ones who were responsible and bought individual insurance to make sure they were covered. Millions (estimates are in the 50-90M range) will lose their employer sponsored coverage next year. Again, these are people who were happy with their insurance plans and who made sure they were covered, they were responsible ... now they're being screwed over. All for the 'greater good'. :eusa_hand:

Like said, it isolates the socialists on the left.
