'Essence of authoritarianism': Expert warns 'Project 2025' would create a Trump 'autocracy'

Yes, I do think they want to someday force everyone to drive an electric car or use mass transit

It may not happen before biden leaves office but that is the goal

Along with msny other radical leftwing policies that I dont support
EV aren't cutting it they should have struck with a hybrid, which is making a comeback.
They're advertising them more.
With EV's you have to stop and charge them, although free, most people don't have the time.

With a charging station at your house, the usual amperage is 50, that will exceed most breaker panels amperage rating and require an upgrade, plus the cost of a charger.

I like the hybrid, charge as you travel. no fuss.

Yeah. Like we were all forced to give up our horse and buggies for automobiles

Oh wait. It just made sense. It was progress.

They didn't legislate away horses and buggies, ICE based vehicles were the superior product.

EV's right now are not the superior product.

Did the government come out and say "we are going to ban horses and buggies by 1915 in 1905?

Bad law is bad, even if leftards whine that it is settled.

Apr 6, 2023 — A bill that prohibits people in Idaho from helping pregnant minors leave the state to obtain abortions became law on Wednesday.

Those laws are blatantly unconstitutional, as long as the person being transported isn't a minor that is being transported by their guardian.

Then it's not about abortion, it's about a non-guardian adult transporting a minor across State lines.

Yeah....................ONE.

Idaho has become the first state to pass a law explicitly restricting some out-of-state travel for abortions.

The new legislation makes helping a pregnant minor get an abortion, whether through medication or a procedure, in another state punishable by two to five years in prison. Gov. Brad Little, a Republican, signed the bill on Wednesday night, and it goes into effect after 30 days.

Good for you

A hybred makes more sense to me too

But so does the good old ICE autos

Unfortunately too many democrats cant understand that

ICE s were not superior in the beginning either. They were loud, prone to break downs and there was little infrastructure (fuel and repair facilities)to support them.

Just like EVs

This law is about minors.

if the minor is transported by the child's guardian, then law is unconstitutional.

If the minor isn't being transported by a guardian, then it's perfectly constitutional.

Also who the fuck wants children being transported across State lines by non guardian adults?

The Deep State does exist even if you dont know it

Yet you didn't have to feed the car when you weren't using it, or groom it, or worry about it dying. And maintenance on those vehicles was far simpler than the ones today, much less parts, and virtually no electronic systems.

Again, the point is they out-competed horses on their own, with no government force required to make the switch.

There is a big difference between then and now

Teddy Roosevelt who was a progressive didnt shoot all the horses and mules to help people make the progressive choice

In those days there was no lib wizard behind the curtain telling the public what to do

The free market decided

Then again who wants to force children to bear children they aren’t capable of raising…

They out competed horses once the technology evolved… just like EVs will

Fucking Luddite
