Estonia will transfer one power unit to Ukraine. It is capable of providing a reliable power supply for 150,000 Ukrainians

Estonia keeps punching above its weight. Outstanding ally. 👍
Excellent news! But prevention is far better than the cure. West urgently needs to send more more air defenses to Ukraine!

Estonians are not stupid. They see the difference between Melitopol, which was captured undamaged, and, say, Bakhmut, that was virtually FUBARed. And they do understand that lesser amount of weapons and other resources they have, lesser time they resist before inevitable capture, and earlier they surrender - more Estonians survive.

NATO, or not NATO, but if Estonia is forced to fight Russia, it will be crushed. Even if the USA will decide to commit murder-suicide and fight a nuclear war it won't help Estonia. So, if there is a choice:
a) surrender immediately and be peacefully occupied;
b) fight with impossible fury and with incredible NATO support, force Russia to use nukes and become radioactive wastelands,
then, it seems to me, the first option is prefered by the smart Estonians.

They see examples of Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia and think about their own future.

if Estonia is forced to fight Russia,
Article 5 provides that if a NATO Ally is the victim of an armed attack, each and every other member of the Alliance will consider this act of violence as an armed attack against all members and will take the actions it deems necessary to assist the Ally attacked.

Yes. But there are two question:
1) what exactly actions they will deem necessary? It's possible that Estonian neighbors will limit themselves with sending formal protests or something like this, and it seems to me, that the USA won't commit suicide in vain attempt to save Estonian regime. I mean even if the USA launch all-out nuclear attack against Russia, it won't save Tallin's regime.
2) what will they do, if "attacked" Estonia (like modern Georgia) say: "Thank you very much, our dear allies, and now go and f#ck off yourselves, we prefer to lost Narva but keep peace with the Russians", and Lithuania and Latvia cancel their membership in NATO and stop discrimination of ethnic Russians?

And it's not a question, but simple statement: Russia can crush NATO countries both in regional (if the USA are neutral) and large scale war (if the USA are in the game, too). WWIII will be definitely very costly, and we are not going to start it just for nothing, but if you are really asking for - we can easily do it (and we can survive and win), but Europe can't survive an all-out nuclear war. It's overpopulated and overdependent of the trade just to keep its population alive.
