but they control the agenda.....rrriiighhhhtt. Report: AFL-CIO, AFSCME, NEA top 2014 campaign donors; Koch No. 36 | WashingtonExaminer.com In a major shift from the 2012 presidential campaign year, only two of the nation’s top 20 donors to federal campaigns favor the GOP, and a stunning 11 are labor unions including the AFL-CIO, and both teachers unions, according to a new report. Way down at No. 36 is Koch Industries, the conservatively run company Democrats claim control the GOP. The list includes campaigns, parties, federally-focused 527s, and super PACs.

rrriiigghhhhtt covert...didnt think of that....... covert like that new press manipulation lib google group..stuff like that?

Koch Bros donate heavily into "dark
Money" 501c4 funds that do not disclose donors. And say thank you to the Supreme Court for allowing this.

Additionly, Cato [Institute], Heritage [Foundation], Feeedomworks, and Center for American Progress do not disclose donors. The Kochs gift of 12milh toFreedomworks founded the Tea Party.

FOunded the Teaparty.......... too funny......why then dont they have money for campaigns in many of their races when GOP establishment locks them out. Guy ran for Sen last time in MN against Klobuchar...he didnt run one ad or commercial or send out even one mailing the entire campaign that I saw or heard.

Course those other 35 above them they dont do that "dark" money stuff...specially unions.....nnnoooooo

The Democrats are making an example of the Koch brothers, they want to show what happens to American citizens who dare to contribute to conservative causes. It's called extortion, and it works.

Probably because the Tea Party hasn't proven to be a good investment . Frankenstein wasn't very happy with his monster either .

Democrats get a boner bashing the Koch Bros, but ignore billionaires like Tom Steyer who funnels millions to Democrat campaigns.

Hypocrite - a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

they do give millions but idiot liberals keep giving the money back....so I wrote them and said I'd be happy to except any donation they would like to offer...lol

The Koch have given 400m to conservative causes since 2012.

David Koch ran for VP I. 1980 on the Libertarian ticket. This was their platform . This is what he wants;

Here are just a few excerpts of the Libertarian Party platform that David Koch ran on in 1980:

“We urge the repeal of federal campaign finance laws, and the immediate abolition of the despotic Federal Election Commission.”
“We favor the abolition of Medicare and Medicaid programs.”
“We oppose any compulsory insurance or tax-supported plan to provide health services, including those which finance abortion services.”
“We also favor the deregulation of the medical insurance industry.”
“We favor the repeal of the fraudulent, virtually bankrupt, and increasingly oppressive Social Security system. Pending that repeal, participation in Social Security should be made voluntary.”
“We propose the abolition of the governmental Postal Service. The present system, in addition to being inefficient, encourages governmental surveillance of private correspondence. Pending abolition, we call for an end to the monopoly system and for allowing free competition in all aspects of postal service.”
“We oppose all personal and corporate income taxation, including capital gains taxes.”
“We support the eventual repeal of all taxation.”
“As an interim measure, all criminal and civil sanctions against tax evasion should be terminated immediately.”
“We support repeal of all law which impede the ability of any person to find employment, such as minimum wage laws.”
“We advocate the complete separation of education and State. Government schools lead to the indoctrination of children and interfere with the free choice of individuals. Government ownership, operation, regulation, and subsidy of schools and colleges should be ended.”
“We condemn compulsory education laws … and we call for the immediate repeal of such laws.”
“We support the repeal of all taxes on the income or property of private schools, whether profit or non-profit.”
“We support the abolition of the Environmental Protection Agency.”
“We support abolition of the Department of Energy.”
“We call for the dissolution of all government agencies concerned with transportation, including the Department of Transportation.”
“We demand the return of America's railroad system to private ownership. We call for the privatization of the public roads and national highway system.”
“We specifically oppose laws requiring an individual to buy or use so-called "self-protection" equipment such as safety belts, air bags, or crash helmets.”
“We advocate the abolition of the Federal Aviation Administration.”
“We advocate the abolition of the Food and Drug Administration.”
“We support an end to all subsidies for child-bearing built into our present laws, including all welfare plans and the provision of tax-supported services for children.”
“We oppose all government welfare, relief projects, and ‘aid to the poor’ programs. All these government programs are privacy-invading, paternalistic, demeaning, and inefficient. The proper source of help for such persons is the voluntary efforts of private groups and individuals.”
“We call for the privatization of the inland waterways, and of the distribution system that brings water to industry, agriculture and households.”
“We call for the repeal of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.”
“We call for the abolition of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.”
“We support the repeal of all state usury laws.”
In other words, the agenda of the Koch brothers is not only to defund Obamacare. The agenda of the Koch brothers is to repeal every major piece of legislation that has been signed into law over the past 80 years that has protected the middle class, the elderly, the children, the sick, and the most vulnerable in this country.

Steyers donations are dwarfed by the Kochs. Show it to be otherwise.

Go ahead and make excuses for your hypocrisy.

Twenty-six of the top 100 disclosing donors in America are billionaires. Democrats have gotten more money from Steyer and Bloomberg than Republicans have gotten from all 26 billionaires combined. In total, top-donating billionaires have already given $40.5 million to Democrats and $18.2 million to Republicans.

The ultra wealthy are buying our politicians on both sides of the aisle, but you only give a damn when it's the ones you don't like who are getting the money. You are part of the problem.

They don't do campaign funds, stupid, that's Adelson. Kochs are into lobbyist and covert operations with media...

From your link:

"The rankings do not include so-called “dark money,” funding given to charities that in turn donate to campaigns without disclosing the money’s origins."

Steyer gives his money openly to support environmental candidates. His donations are no secret.

The Koch brothers give the money anonymously to third parties, who in turn donate it to the campaigns for them.

Which process seems preferable to you, particularly since you seem concerned about politicians being bought?

Everyone remembers the story of the Koch brothers funding attack ads in small towns using national attack methods and seeing the friends team up against these rich giants. The slanderous ad's basically made the Left Winger win because of the small scale. They are trying to Dictate politics Nationally with $$. This is simply a fact and anyone can look it up. Except for the lazy brains who won't.
