Secretary Clinton was once a Goldwater Girl. Senator Barry Goldwater was from Arizona, of the similar take on world affairs as Senator McCain. "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb! Let's Bomb Iran!" In 1964, against then President Lyndon Johnson, it was the concept of the nuclear event--among other things that did in Goldwater. "Defoliate the jungles" would be said a Goldwater Presidential outcome--by the Senator. "Extremism in the Defense of Liberty is no vice," would say the Jewish heir to retail department store fortune. Except to liberals, everything was suddenly murky, about what Senator Goldwater actually intended.

Now like Goldwater. . .Trump, too--may be headed toward the Landslide Level outcome that happens, when "Extremist" becomes the tag!

Nukes for defense, but coal, fracking, and off-shore drilling for an energy policy seem to be getting advocated. Liberals will more likely advocate solar panels, Prius type motor cars, de-salinization, and actual nuclear power generating stations--if maybe not so large.
