FBI Director Says a Judge Accused of Helping Someone Evade Immigration Agents Has Been Arrested

Administrative warrants haven't been excuted in Courts for Decades...

This is because it undermines the Judicial Process...

This is not getting convicted, she has decades of precedent... This is ICE trying to scare Judges...

Could see a black lash like ICE banned from Courthouses unless in court...

And we will see if you are right.

I don't think so.

Arrested a sitting judge eh?
This is significant escalation, I think.
Of course, if the judge broke the law...she deserves to be arrested.
If~

The FBI on Friday arrested a Wisconsin county judge accused of helping a man avoid immigration enforcement, Director Kash Patel said.
Patel made the announcement in a post on X and said his office believes Judge Hannah Dugan "intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse.”
Patel identified the subject as Eduardo Flores Ruiz and said Dugan’s actions allowed Ruiz to evade arrest.
The Justice Department didn't immediately have a comment Friday. A person answering the phone Friday at Dugan’s office said he could not comment. The Associated Press left an email and voicemail Friday morning seeking comment from Milwaukee County Courts Chief Judge Carl Ashley.

The arrest marks an escalation in the Trump administration’s fight with the judiciary over the White House's sweeping immigration enforcement policies. The Justice Department had previously signaled that it was going to crack down on local officials thwarting federal immigration efforts.

Patel made the announcement in an X post, which was quickly deleted. The FBI did not immediately respond to requests for comment on why the post was removed.

Patel wrote that the FBI believes Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan “intentionally misdirected federal agents away” from Eduardo Flores Ruiz as agents were attempting to arrest him at her courthouse last week.

“Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since, but the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public,” Patel said in the post.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Tuesday that the FBI was looking into Dugan’s conduct surrounding an attempted arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at her courthouse on April 18.

So, the initial post....has been removed? Was she really arrested?

Breaking story...much to be learned still~

White liberal female. I called it as soon as I heard this story on the radio this morning.

It was about time the DOJ started arresting these motherfuckers.

If the judge did as accused, then this is good and legal move.
Oh wow! How big of you to admit that. Hey, look over here everybody, THIS ^ guy isnt afraid to tell it like it is. SEE, he isnt biased at all, so you know that all of his other posts are honest takes and never swayed by extreme political bias.

Thanks for admitting the obvious, dipshit. :cuckoo:

The best thing the Democrats can do is keep the pressure up on the Garcia deportation, which is exactly what this was trying to deflect from.
Yeah bro, thats EXACTLY what dems should do. That'll get the voters back in your corner.

Just remember, the most important aspect of it is the show of power against the court system by the extreme right.

I can say that and still be impartial. I'm a bit surprised over your position you're taking on this issue.
Can you not remember what the last administration continued to peddle everyday -

No one is above the law.

Why the sudden change of heart?

Doj dog and pony show....to intimidate and bully judges. There was no need for this big production to charge her.... Lights, Camera, action, cut....

And we will see if you are right.

I don't think so.
What we are seeing is a Judge being arrested for doing something in her own court...
This because she didn't implement a Administraive Warrant.during a Judicial proceeding.
These are warrants that don't get search warrants, are not executed in Schools or Churches either.
They had a history of not being done in Courthouses either as it considered to interfere with Judicial proceedings...

These are not signed by other Judges... This has the picture of jackboot feds walking into local courts issuing warrants they wrote up in the car... Imagine if it was Biden doing this?

But the big things Judges will see is their power eroded for the rest of their careers... That is why I think they will get slapped back, this is non partisan, this is about who is in charge of their courtrooms...

Arresting the Judge was grand standing and intimidation, but for Patal to tweet is a serious violation of FBI policy (and everyone in law enforcement knows that).

If the Trump & Co wanted this, they played it badly...

Can you not remember what the last administration continued to peddle everyday -

Why the sudden change of heart?
Cause it is not...

This is Administrative law trying to interfere with Judicial Law....

Judicial Law wins all day and always does...

There is a possibility the Supreme Court could curb Administrative Arrests until this is sorted out.

"Administrative arrests, which are detentions by administrative entities rather than law enforcement, are generally not directly addressed in the U.S. Constitution. However, they are subject to constitutional protections, particularly the Fourth and Fifth Amendments, which safeguard against unreasonable searches and seizures, and protect against self-incrimination, respectively. While the Constitution doesn't explicitly define "administrative arrest," these protections apply to any detention or restraint of a person's freedom, including those by administrative bodies"
This could be the pissing fight the judiciary are waiting for... It is coming up...
This could be the overreach...

These are meant to be used sparingly for Terrorism, Trump leveraging into a police state is going to get push back.

This isn’t a Left or Right issue. You can’t have activist judges from any part of the political spectrum abusing their own power within the Court to achieve an outcome that runs counter to the Law. If you do support the judge doing this then understand that this can come back to bite you in the ass when a judge tries to shield someone in the interest of a political position that you oppose.
