Florida Republican Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez suggested Wednesday that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) should have her “head examined” after she claimed humans can control the weather.
“Humans cannot create or control the weather,” Gimenez posted on the social platform X, as Hurricane Milton bore down on his home state. “Anyone who thinks they can, needs to have their head examined.”
President Biden on Wednesday blasted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) for spreading what he called “irresponsible” and “beyond ridiculous” falsehoods around severe weather bearing down on Florida and other states. "Look folks, Marjorie is wrong about the weather, just because hurricanes now only track over Mar-a-Lago every week of the year these days is just coincidence. We may be trying to shoot Trump but it is outrageous to think that we are trying to kill him with Hurricanes. Smitherjism!! Hurricanes are.........umbridledcordational.............well, anyway"
However, Democrat Congress woman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez motioned for Gimenez to amend his assertion that humans cannot control the weather and have the statement stricken off the official Congressional record.
"Lies!" Screamed Cortez. "Everybody knows that had my Green New Deal had not been thwarted by Trump and the Republicans, we would not even have hurricanes today! Humans do control the weather!!"
"No wonder the Squad dresses in white these days", said Governor Ron DeSantis after the exchange. "All we need are padded walls now"
