Earlier this morning, Pope Francis passed away at his residence in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta. He was 88 years old and riddled with health issues. His replacement will likely be decided in the next 15 to 20 days by a secret conclave of cardinals, who will vote until a candidate secures a two-thirds majority.

As the world braces to find out who’s next in line, Glenn Beck has a story to tell — one that mainstream media would never dare to touch.

He keenly recalls the day Francis was announced as the next pope following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI — a “staunch conservative,” who “stood for everything the modern world wanted the Church to abandon.”

Benedict “had moral clarity; he was a traditionalist and a spiritual authority,” Glenn reflects. However, it didn’t take him long to figure out that “Pope Francis was going to be none of these things.”

As the media speculated about who would be next in line, pundits brought up Francis, formerly known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio, and claimed they knew very little about him.

However, “Within 10 minutes [of the announcement], everybody on every network started talking about how great he was going to be” and that “he was practically Jesus,” says Glenn.

That’s when he could see the writing on the wall — “They like him,” which means “this guy is going to be a nightmare.”

This is the canary in the mine shaft. If the world loves the new Pope like they loved Francis, watch out!

John 15:18 ;“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also

The RC Church is in need of modernization, and it might be too late to save it.

But not in the way that the world's Leftists hope. Sexual irregulars will always be welcome while their irregularity will forever be rejected unambiguously. We are responsible for our actions, but not our inclination to sin, which is universal.

The Church needs married priests and shortly thereafter, woman priests. These are not theological matters, but vital to the Church's survival. The condemnation of "artificial birth control" should also be reversed, and replaced with a family imperative to maintain a faithful family, of whatever size the couple chooses.

As for the major moral imperatives of our time (abortion, euthanasia, slavery, etc.), the Church is right on all of them, and will not change...cannot change. For those who vainly hope in an embrace of perverse lifestyles, form your own church.

As the Catholic church has largely turned a blind eye to the pedophile problem within the church, it stands to reason they will have no problem turning a blind eye to other sexual deviances, including abortion.

You might even say it is just a natural outcome.

What is perverse is a huge church organization that is wealthy and sits on that wealth in opposition to the creed of Jesus..They failed the initial test to be Christ-like. Why follow a weak church that lives in opposition to Christ?

You may be unaware of this, but particularly young people are embracing the teachings and historical traditions in the Catholic Church. "Modernization" has never been the path of the Church, which is why the vestments priests wore in early Christianity are the same as they wear today. (Back in the early centuries they eschewed the then "modern" fashion changes.)

No, the Church does not need married priests, and it definitely does not need women priests. When the Church agreed that altar boys could become altar servers to include girls, we see what we have today. Many girls as altar servers and very few boys. When females take over, males have a habit of saying, "Okay, all yours."

Yes, sexuality and birth control are theological matters, as everything in life is. Do you know why Pope Paul VI (who was expected to approve the pill) shocked everyone at the last minute by saying, No. It was because, when he was in prayer over the matter, he saw the pill leading to millions of abortions. And the Church maintains that life is our greatest gift.

What is needed is for the Church (meaning its members) to become more outspoken in teaching Catholic beliefs and history, and why we hold to them. It looks like the young people are on it.

The Catholic church does not need married Preists?

Saint Peter, I thought was considered to be the first Pope, and yes, he was married.

So, instead of embracing the Biblical model of sexual conduct within the sanctity of marriage, we see the Pope wrap himself with the Rainbow flag instead as Pedophilia remains a problem within the church.

I honestly don't think that the pedophile problem within the Catholic church would not have been so prevalent had priests be allowed to marry.

Naturally, it is a problem everyone and not just the church, but I think that the bureaucracy of the church simply made the problem worse with their no marry mandates that seemingly was made up out of thin air with no Biblical support.

Right, as many "progressives" would like the church to condone this behavior.

Should they condone such behavior as society condones it, or should they go against the grain and risk being hated for it?

What say you?

Lot of irony in my life. My bio mom committed adultery to bring me into the world. Glad she didn't have a abortion
Seams like the people in my religion that shack up before marriage never become church attenders
Something about sexual immorality that becomes soul destroying

Whoever is named Pope is automatically loved
By Catholics....everyone else is like...whateva. Francis was a good man who tried to move the Catholic Church into the modern world. Will the next Pope continue thar march or will be return to Benedict's staunch conservative stance? Christ was Woke...Like I tell my bothers and sisters, "Everyone wants to meet Jesus...just not today." let that sink in.

Pope Francis tried to move the church into the 20th Century. 21st Century is too big a jump. He expanded the role of women, advocated tolerance of homosexuals.
He also moved the church closer to he teachings of Jesus. He hated the pomp and displays of wealth. He was concerned with the poor wherever they are and hated the impact governments have on poverty.
He also stood up for the plight of migrants

Everyone wants to be around Jesus?

Why then did everyone forsake him when he went to the cross?

In fact, why did he go to the cross in the first place if he was so beloved?

And before you say it was because of the evil MAGA government and religious institutions, remember, the average voter voted to send Jesus to the cross instead of a proven murderer.

the Vatican—the offices, the gardens, the palaces—are walled off, with very restricted public access. The gates are manned by Swiss Guards, who will stop any tourist seeking to wander inside.

It is no coincidence that organized religion was the primary instigator to nail Jesus to a cross.

Once the focus becomes money and power, which is the politics of men, God must be put in his place.

Really? Are you serious? I am pretty sure there was no MAGA during the years Jesus taught.....wait....there were the Pharisees. They were pretty close to being MAGA. Read what Jesus thought of that "stiff necked" brood of vipers.
