Genetically we've been the same for about oh say 250,000 years. That means that there were people as smart as Einstein and Joe Biden way back then, so the idea that we've only discovered a practical way to harness electricity 60 years ago is patently absurd.
Also, every civilization from the Aztecs, to the Hebrews to the Chinese has a legend of a Great Flood. It's not too much of a stretch to imagine that the Flood actually happened and that we've been wiped down, but not totally out as a species several times in the recent past.
So, are you supporting the Great Flood theory or aren't you? What I learned in Sunday School is that God did it ONCE and then promised not to do it again. What's with this "several times" stuff?
We've been wiped down several times in the past. Floods, earthquakes, solar flares, impacts.
Several times.
Look at what smallpox did to the South and Meso American Indian civilizations: it destroyed whole civilizations and that's just less than 1,000 years ago.
