A leaked memo from a GOP elite shows the Establishments hand; and its all TRUMPS!

GOP memo suggests Trump reality check for establishment | Fox News

“Conventional wisdom has counted Trump out on several occasions.

But, Trump continues to rise and the criticisms seem to make him stronger, writes NRSC Executive Director Ward Bake in the seven-page missive, which was not supposed to be made public but was leaked to The Washington Post.

Several news organizations have reported on it since. Fox News has verified its authenticity.

“Trump has been gaining Democrat adherents and he’s solidifying
GOP cohorts who feel they’ve been totally ignored by the Washington Ruling Class. If the environment aligns properly, Trump could win,” Ward writes. “It’s not a bet most would place now, but it could happen. That’s why it’s important for our candidates to run their own races, limit the Trump criticisms (other than obvious free kicks), and grab onto the best elements of the anti-Washington populist agenda.”

The memo also offers several “lessons” on how candidates can deal with the “Trump phenomenon” without getting tarred when Trump indulges in more explosive policy positions, off-color jokes, or seemingly radioactive political rhetoric.

“Trump is subject to farcical fits,” writes Ward. While trying to keep out of the fray, continue to take “Trump to task on outrageous statements where the media won’t let you off the hook. Choose opportunities to take the moral high ground while exerting your independence.”

Moral high ground? for a professional politician?
:haha:

Outstanding.

Among the zillion fascinating elements of this campaign season will/would be how the establishment behaves if he gets the nomination. Holy crap, how do you support, contribute to, campaign for and vote for The Guy who spat in your face?

Maybe you just don't, huh?
.

Well considering the GOP elite thought Trump was a flash in the pan guess the fact that they are worried about him speaks volumes.

He has loads of supporters because he talks about things loads of people are interested in.

Boy howdy, 2016 should be one interesting year.

Ahhh, "The Ruling Class"

And there is the crux of the biscuit. Fucking bastards.

Makes we want to fill a crop duster with piss and buzz Capitol Hill......

It's crazy

the only people to make a run at Trump are the people trump gave shit to, both of which are outsiders.

so all he has to do is blow off all the insiders, to keep them from getting free ammo, and he's the nom.

Part of me is happy that a not politician could be Pres, another part of me is "It's the fucking "Donald""

Some posts make me want to do an agree icon and a laughing icon both at the same time.

Why cant we do that?

:lmao::clap2::lol::clap::dance:

This is the best election cycle I have ever witnessed! Yay for Trump whether he becomes the nominee or not he has kept the establishment at bay and not allowed the media to decide who would be "best to lose to Hillary."

They won't. They will do all they can to harm him and persuade R voters not to vote for him.

Trump is a joke, but Hillary is a fucking disaster. Clearly the joke is better.

I find it alarming that many are overlooking the catastrophe that would be a Mrs. BJ presidency, while dumping on Trump.

Why do you think Trump is a 'joke'?

Clearly the GOP Establishment isn't laughing any more.

As I said, I would take Trump over Mrs. BJ every day of the week.

He is a joke because he continually makes outlandish statements and attacks others in the R party and media relentlessly. He appears to have a very thin skin, much like the jackass in the WH now.

This is part of 'playing to the crowd'. The speaker makes some outlandish comment, that he can rationalize in some way, to get the audiences attention. Trump has likely done this a million times in sales pitches to people he wants to do business with, so I think he knows what he is doing. It is working as he is constantly the subject of free media attention while Jeb, Marco and the rest spend millions to get the same amount of air time.

Take his first 'outrageous comment that just destroyed his presidential bid', the comments on illegal aliens from Mexico being rapists and not Mexico's best. Trump was speaking about the specific group of illegal aliens from Mexico, not all Hispanics, but he knew damned well that the PC media mavens would go after him for saying anything even remotely similar. This created a whirlwind of media attention that Trump easily handled by explaining the facts. Americans that cared enough to actually look at the facts responded favorably and are still spreading the corrected version via 'word of mouth'. Meanwhile, the political pros are shaking the heads, saying 'Oh my Gawd! What a loser!' even as Trump won, again and a again.

So Trump gets free publicity, makes his critics look like fools in the tank for their candidates, and most of all he NEVER APOLOGIZES FOR GIVING HIS OPINION. This resonates with voters who are sick to death of the Professional Political Class aligned media pretending to be neutral 'Keepers of the Gate' when everyone paying attention knows that they are sold out whores instead. This type of tactic is proven repeatedly successful, getting Trump free publicity and a bump up in the polls every time so far. Personally, I like those kinds of 'jokes'. They are the mark of a person from the real world who is a winner in a harsh cut-throat environment and people respond to that, not Wonk Word Salad Chefs.

For Trump to continue taking this repeated savaging in the media and not apologize and never even consider dropping out shows he is not thin skinned, lol, no, he is DEMONSTRATING he is exactly the opposite of that.

I suspect nine months from now you will be a whole lot happier with Trump than you are now.

Why should Trump care if some RINO donor is sitting on his wallet? Trump has plenty of funding and has hardly spent a dime.

He doesnt need them, which is a huge part of his appeal.

But if they cross him, he burns the whole tent down around their stupid bobble heads.

I find many of the outlandish things he has said, to be correct. However, those statements may hurt him in the general, when the lib MSM tries to brainwash Americans to vote against him.

My biggest problem with Trump is he is a progressive. He likes big government. His plan to nationalize healthcare is but one example. He does not strike me as one willing to compromise or work with others in government...or for that matter, to abide by the Constitution...much like the guy in the WH now.

It could, but it is hard to tell as the political process has sailed into some very strange seas.

I am thinking that Trump will pull it off because he has done this sort of thing millions of times, has demonstrated he knows the media game better than most of the media and the media is little credibility any more.

Thirty years ago Trump would have been called a progressive, sure. But people change. I think that the Obama reign has driven many to the right that would never have been on that end of the spectrum prior to Obama.

What Trump is saying today and the actions he has taken over the last several years makes me think he is more genuine a conservative than McCain and Romney ever were and I am OK with that. My personal preference would be 1 Carson, 2 Rand Paul 3 Huckabee 4 Trump 5 Cruz.

But I am happy to take the half a loaf and get the rest later.

Interesting column from Pat Buchanan....I do love when Trump dumps on the stinking left wing media. I hope he continues to do so.

WHY LIBERAL MEDIA HATE TRUMP
Pat Buchanan: 'His contempt for the norms of political correctness is daily on display'

And that large slice of America that detests a media whose public approval now rivals that of Congress relishes this defiance. The last thing these folks want Trump to do is to apologize to the press.

And the media have played right into Trump’s hand.

They constantly denounce him as grossly insensitive for what he has said about women, Mexicans, Muslims, McCain and a reporter with a disability. Such crimes against decency, says the press, disqualify Trump as a candidate for president.

Yet, when they demand he apologize, Trump doubles down. And when they demand that Republicans repudiate him, the GOP base replies:

“Who are you to tell us whom we may nominate? You are not friends. You are not going to vote for us. And the names you call Trump – bigot, racist, xenophobe, sexist – are the names you call us, nothing but cuss words that a corrupt establishment uses on those it most detests.”

What the Trump campaign reveals is that, to populists and Republicans, the political establishment and its media arm are looked upon the way the commons and peasantry of 1789 looked upon the ancient regime and the king’s courtiers at Versailles.

IT seems that now that Trump, once again, has only risen in the polls after committing another 'fatal mistake' and now he is over 40% in some polls, the GOP Establishment may be walking back all their talk of Trump not being fit to be the top of the ticket if he wins.

This song is for Trump and his 2016 campaign efforts, lol.
