GOP looks to Hungary as a model. They already have the antidemocratic tactics down. They’re looking to Orbán for a comprehensive political philosophy

The GOP has invited Orban, no friend of the United States, to speak at CPAC next month in Dallas

Actually, the tremendous nation of Hungary largely avoided the influx of illegals into their realm that the Germans and French endured. And they have dealt effectively with Soros, who unfortunately hails from their realm.

America can learn a lot from one of our key allies in Europe.

The entire premise of this thread, as set forth in the unduly simplistic thread headline, is that the GOP is doing this stuff at all and looking to Orban for guidance.

There is zero support for the premises much less the conclusion. It boils down to “it’s so because the author of the OP says it is so.”

It is an appeal to non-authority and to basketcasebromance’s own ignorance.

Soros could not unseat the present government so you and his other stooges go more nuts than you are already.
The present government is rigged in every possible way to make sure there can never be a relevant opposition party. Is that what you want here? Of course it is. Authoritarians always think a single party state is the answer to all their problems.

Looks more like the dems are trying that here in the US. Or perhaps more like Mexico with the PRI running the show for 50 plus years with just nominal opposition.

I get it, a Hungarian politician will speak at a CPAC event so the left is hysterical. It beats talking about real issues.

No, but it is certainly what you liberal progressives want.
Your fantasies are not relevant to the conversation. If Hungary is to be the model for the GOP going forward a single party state is clearly what they want.

The GOP is certainly fascinated with Orban. That’s clear

He’s even speaking at CPAC
