Another retirement of a high ranking Republican in a swing district. Unless public opinion of Trump improves by the midterm elections a Democratic take over of the House is looking more likely than less. Furthermore, the Democrats only need two Senate seats to take the majority in that chamber. Dean Heller here in Nevada is the most vulnerable incumbent in the Senate this year and with Flake retiring in Arizona that leaves another opportunity for the Democrats to pick up an open seat. Combine all this with midterm elections historically leaning in favor of the party not in the White House and things are continuing to look bad for Republican prospects this year.

The Dems are going to run on which issues?
Abortion?
Higher Taxes?
Send Jobs back to China?
Impeach Trump for Making America Great Again?

Don't count on the lunatic lefties to win, unless they recount over and over in each state...Otherwise more seats are going to swing Republican and the Cities will continue to burn...

Heller has been his own worst enemy. Most of the repubs that are not running for reelection are notoriously soft on "conservative" values and would have faced strong primary challenges. Tarkanian, who has never won a single election, is running against heller and will probably beat him. The problem is in the General election where tarkanian has always done fairly poorly.

Could happen

But never underestimate the ability of Democrats to screw up a sure thing
