Another retirement of a high ranking Republican in a swing district. Unless public opinion of Trump improves by the midterm elections a Democratic take over of the House is looking more likely than less. Furthermore, the Democrats only need two Senate seats to take the majority in that chamber. Dean Heller here in Nevada is the most vulnerable incumbent in the Senate this year and with Flake retiring in Arizona that leaves another opportunity for the Democrats to pick up an open seat. Combine all this with midterm elections historically leaning in favor of the party not in the White House and things are continuing to look bad for Republican prospects this year.
