You hear the left scream a lot about tax breaks and subsidies. I lived in San Diego County for over 3 decades. In the 80’s the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego was a seedy ghetto of abandoned buildings and drug dealers and high crime.
Because of tax breaks and subsidies it is now 5 star hotels, 6 figure condos, and a go-to destination in the world.
