The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) claimed to have saved $175 billion through various cost-cutting measures, but independent verification has revealed significant inaccuracies and overstatements in those claims. While DOGE has identified and canceled contracts, grants, and leases, and reduced the federal workforce, the actual savings are likely much lower than the $175 billion claimed.
DOGE is NOT finished yet, it has 3.5 more years to modernize the Federal government.
That $175b is NOT a one-time saving. In DC everything is scored for 10-years, so DOGE will save at least $1.75T over 10-years! Amazing for a group of geniuses that are working about 4-months.
