Great Obama Walks Out Of Room After Cantor Concedes A Debt Limit Increase!

Is he over his tantrum yet? Ya how very presidential.

Didn't one of his hero's take his shoe off once and start banging it on a table at a UN council meeting? That should work for him next time. ;)

When did Ronald Reagan do that?

 Thanks I needed that. :)

Nikita Khrushchev's shoe-banging incident allegedly occurred during the 902nd Plenary Meeting of the UN General Assembly held in New York on 12 October 1960, when the infuriated leader of the Soviet Union was said to have pounded his shoe on his delegate-desk in protest of a speech by Philippine delegate Lorenzo Sumulong which accused the Soviet Union of having "swallowed up" Eastern Europe and deprived the population of "the free exercise of their civil and political rights".

Though all parties are in agreement that Khrushchev was enraged by Sumulong's speech and loudly denounced it from the rostrum, witness accounts vary as to the extent of Khrushchev's actions while at his delegate-desk, and there are no credible photographic or video records available. There is at least one fake photographic depiction of the incident, where a shoe was added into an existing photograph. [1]

I was wondering where I might be able to purchase a commemorative T-Shirt?

How about we crack open some "Jameson" and do a sing along. :)

Nikita Khrushchev's not a hero of President Obama's. It's sort of silly to even imply that. And Commies don't pay taxes. Why? The government owns all means of productions and gets all the profit. Taxes are for people who own the government.

And was Adolf Hitler George W. Bush's hero? His Grandfather Prescott got in trouble for doing business with him..

There was no tantrum. A meeting with the president, ANY PRESIDENT, is over when he says it is.

Bullshit he threw a tantrum over not getting his way and stormed out. The clown is in over his head

At the conclusion of a 2 hour meeting?

I really doubt it.

What might have happened was some tough words were exchanged. But President Obama's a pretty cool customer.

And Cantor's already proven himself untruthful (he voted to raise taxes before) and a hothead (he walked out of a meeting with Biden).

President Obama storms out of debt negotiation meeting, warns GOP not to 'call my bluff'

Barack Obama storms out of meeting - Telegraph

What Bullshit?

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va) said the President became "agitated" before warning him not to "call my bluff" when Cantor said he would consider a short-term debt-limit hike, something Obama has said doesn't solve the problem.

That's Cantor's version of events.

Democratic officials had a different interpretation. "The meeting ended with Cantor being dressed down while sitting in silence," one official said in an email. "[The president] said Cantor could not have it both ways of insisting on dollar-for-dollar and still not being open to revenues."
Obama Warns Cantor As Debt Talks Stall: 'Don't Call My Bluff'

That's the Democrats version of events. And they both agree it happened after 2 hours. That's one long meeting.

And this is the same Eric Cantor who said this:

On Thursday, Cantor claimed that someone had fired a bullet through the window of his Richmond, Va. campaign office. If true, that would mark a shocking escalation of the ugliness which has accompanied the battle over health care reform legislation. Cantor got what he hoped for as the first round of media stories bought the spin. But Talking Points Memo got a hold of this statement from the Richmond, Va. police and it's worth a read:

"The Richmond Police Department is investigating an act of vandalism at the Reagan Building, 25 E. Main St., Richmond, Virginia. A first floor window was struck by a bullet at approximately 1 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23. The building, which has several tenants including an office used by Congressman Eric Cantor, was unoccupied at the time A Richmond Police detective was assigned to the case. A preliminary investigation shows that a bullet was fired into the air and struck the window in a downward direction, landing on the floor about a foot from the window. The round struck with enough force to break the windowpane but did not penetrate the window blinds. (My emphasis.) There was no other damage to the room, which is used occasionally for meetings by the congressman."

Commies don't tax.

And if you want a "totally free market" society..there are a bunch of "small government" slavic nations with weak governments just pining for big heroic free market capitalist types to open up business there. Like Belarus.

Ya the only problem with the Dems version is that the meeting wasn't over until Obama stormed out to go pout. Not at all Presidential not at all the sign of a leader

President Barack Obama abruptly left today's negotiating session to raise the debt ceiling and lower the deficit, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) told reporters after the meeting.

Cantor said Obama walked-out "angrily" after he offered to support two separate debt ceiling votes — a proposal Obama had repeatedly said he would veto.

Obama's open to anything.

Really?

He has agreed to spend ONLY what is Constitutionally allowed?!?!?!?!?!?

.

And what would that be?

Fill me in on restrictions put on the government on what to spend on.

List them.

The Constitution (1787)

in Article One of the United States Constitution, section 8, clause 18:

“

The Congress shall have Power - To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

None of the powers granted therein authorizes fedgov to support parasites , meddle in the internal affairs of other nations or invade countries using false pretenses.

Your basing your post entirely on what Cantor says..and he's not entirely truthful in general as I have pointed out..or well behaved at these meetings.

I have no doubt that there was a little more then enough media pressure to make it look as if he's not the only one to act irresponsibly.

I'm basing it on what was reported not how the Dems tried to spin it to save obama the embarrassment. This is the reason that Obama wants the meeting's held at camp David where he can control what is being reported on his behavior.

Obama stormed out of the room. According to people that were there, his last words were, "I will see you at tomarrow's meeting". Doesn't seem a very good way to "storm" out of a meeting.

Oops.

Is he over his tantrum yet? Ya how very presidential.

Didn't one of his hero's take his shoe off once and start banging it on a table at a UN council meeting? That should work for him next time. ;)

Obama storms and stews about every little opposition to him or his ideals. He's like a spoiled child who says, "Well - I'm going to pick up my toys and go home."

I don't think I've seen this particular person's name being associated with Obama, but the shoe banger was Nikita Kruzschov and he did it during the Eisenhower administration.

With all these economic issues all over Europe, maybe we should just follow suit. The lefties would be happy because everybody would be on ... what is it? ... a level playing field. Obama will be happy because he can shout out that HE ... in all his wisdom and glory ... managed to not only destroy America but the rest of the world along with it. America would not be able to financially support the foreign aid that it has done for decades, because it wouldn't have the money to do it - and what the hell - all those countries hate us anyway. Maybe people would start thinking for themselves again.

And that's sort of how I see socialism working - it spends more and more money on incredibly stupid "causes," the workers and people of all economic standing are taxed to death only to have the higher income to once again to be overspent on something. Eventually, the purse dries up - the big bad corporations will have been brought to its knees , no operating expenses (including income), there's no more to income to tax, no more revenue to overspend on stupid causes, no money for "x" number of entitlement programs. And that's where everybody is right now.

It doesn't work. Big parts of our government agencies need to be axed altogether and we, as voters, need to hold the feet in Washington to the fire relentlessly.
